WWE 2K26 just revealed a bunch of official information about this year's installment of the wrestling game franchise, including confirmation of special editions, game modes, and additions to its roster. WWE 2K26The official site has been updated with a lot of new information about the upcoming game. This year's installment will finally step away from last-gen consoles and see the return of all the game modes that made it to WWE 2K25including The Island and MyRise story modes, the card-based MyFaction mode, the MyGM strategy mode, and the classic universe sandbox mode, all of which have been enhanced. 2K also confirmed rumors of a CM Punk Showcase v WWE 2K26allows players to relive some of the greatest matches in the world and rewrite history with some of the dream matches that could have happened if Superstar Straight Edge had stayed with WWE for his entire career.
As for the other game modes, there are a lot of exciting changes waiting for you. MyGM mode returns with more PLEs across brands and the ability to extend seasons up to 50 weeks. While drafting wrestlers has long been a part of MyGM, WWE Draft is now also coming to Universe, which is also getting more promo types and improvements to its Money in the Bank cash-in mechanic. Players will also have more options in MyFaction, with the new addition of intergender teams and a system that allows the stats of wrestling cards to increase based on their chemistry. Those looking for a story-driven experience can once again look forward to MyRise, in which player decisions are promised to have greater consequences than before, and The Island, which is confirmed to be three feuding factions fighting for control after the fall of Roman Reigns.

The Visual Concepts team plans to launch WWE 2K26 with a roster over 400 wrestlers strong, though only a fraction of that number has been officially revealed. Following the previous reports about WWE 2K26Adding to the roster that predicted the first appearances of Zaria, Blake Monroe, Ricky Saints and Myles Borne, the new reveal sees stars Rey Fenix and Izzi Dame also joining the roster, along with TNA's ever-popular Scottish transplant Joe Hendry, who comes as a pre-order bonus in some versions of the game.

Four different versions of the game are now available for pre-order with the Standard Edition for $69.99, the King of Kings Edition for $99.99, the Attitude Era Edition for $129.99 and the Monday Night War Edition for $149.99. While these higher-end packs are expensive, each step up provides players with more content, including additional legendary wrestlers, taunts, and virtual currency.

2K also confirmed rumors of four new match types WWE 2K26. As revealed by Game Informer after a virtual demo of the game, all 3 Stages of Hell, Dumpster, I Quit and Inferno match types will be present in the game. WWE 2K26thereby increasing the number of available match types while keeping open the intergender option introduced in WWE 2K25.
Some other special features were revealed through the preview message regarding small but significant changes to the game. Pushpins and shopping carts appear as new weapons WWE 2K series. Entries for wrestlers will have more interactive elements to showcase personality, allowing players to manually set off pyrotechnics, hype up the crowd, or perform actions that showcase their face or heel, such as accepting or rejecting pre-match handshakes. And the commentary options are expanding as well, with Booker T and Wade Barrett lending their voice skills to the team.
