Xbox Game Pass adds 18th and final game from January 2026

MySims: The Cozy Pack and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2 joined the Xbox Game Pass library. The two titles, which are available at several subscription levels, are the 17th and 18th additions to the service this month, rounding out the January 2026 Xbox Game Pass lineup.

Microsoft's subscription service had a quiet start to the year, adding just six new titles in the first half of January. Activity then picked up with planned and unexpected releases. One example of the latter came on January 23, when The Sims 1 and 2 shadow was cast on Xbox Game Pass.

The 14th new title to join Xbox Game Pass in January 2026 is a 2023 game with an impressive 89 critic score and “very positive” user reviews.

Space Marine 2 and MySims add to Xbox Game Pass January 2026, Wave 2 build

Microsoft's subscription library has now expanded again and added Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2 and MySims: The Cozy Pack on Thursday, January 29. As always with EA Play titles on Xbox Game Pass, MySims: The Cozy Pack it is only available on PC and Ultimate level. On the contrary, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2 can also be played with an XGP Premium-tier subscription.

With an OpenCritic average of 81 and “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam, Space Marines 2 is one of the most acclaimed adaptations of the iconic Games Workshop franchise in recent times. It adds to a substantial lineup Warhammer 40,000 entries on Microsoft's subscription service, incl Darktide, Rogue merchantand Harmful insects 2. Remaster of the original Warhammer 40k: A space marine it is also available on Xbox Game Pass from June 2025. This is a first Space Marines 2 is offered to Microsoft subscribers at no additional cost.

Another new addition today, MySims: The Cozy PackXbox Game Pass also debuts. The bundle includes two titles from the Wii era –MySims and Kingdom of MySims– packed together. Xbox Game Pass already has five games confirmed for February 2026: India, Final Fantasy 2, Threat, High on Life 2and Towerborne. More are expected to be announced early next month. Based on Microsoft's usual cadence, next month's Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 lineup will likely be formally announced on February 3rd. Meanwhile, the service is set to lose seven games on January 31st, inclusive Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Cataclysm, Starboundand Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders—all games boasting an average OpenCritic score of at least 80. That's on top of the five titles that left on January 16th. Despite the 12 departures, January was still a significant net positive for the Xbox Game Pass library, with new products outnumbering removals two to one.
