Xbox Game Pass is getting a new co-op game called Frog Sqwad in June 2026. The upcoming indie title aims to differentiate itself from the rest of the Xbox Game Pass co-op catalog through a combination of physics-based gameplay, tongue-in-cheek humor and support for large parties of up to eight players.
Frog Sqwad is the debut title from Panic Stations, a British studio founded in late 2025 by several former developers of the 2020 hit Battle Royale. Autumn Guys. Panic Stations is part of Skeleton Crew, a gaming team focused on creating smaller experimental titles.

Panic Stations formally announced Frog Sqwad during the latest Xbox Partner Preview on March 26. The reveal included a 51-second gameplay trailer that pitches the game as a co-op multiplayer experience in which up to eight players explore vast sewers, haul food back to the “Swamp King” and tackle plenty of physics-based challenges. Looking at the bigger picture, the newly revealed title partially draws on roguelite elements, as players can exchange food collected during runs for gold, which they can then spend on gadgets and upgrades that will expand their options in future runs. The frogs themselves can also consume food to grow in size and eventually transform into a “Megafrog” able to overcome some challenges more easily than its smaller counterparts. Frog Sqwad is currently targeting a June 2026 launch, though a specific release date is still missing. As with most of the titles introduced during the new Xbox Partner Preview event, the co-op platform is set to enter the Xbox Game Pass catalog on day one.
