The Xbox Game Pass The Wave 1 lineup for January 2026 has been officially announced, with two of its titles already available to date. In total, the newly confirmed list includes seven new games plus four expanded editions that will arrive at the next level of Xbox Game Pass.
It's been five weeks since Microsoft last announced the Xbox Game Pass lineup. In a typical month, each half of the month will receive a dedicated update. However, over the past few years, Microsoft has condensed its December reveal into a single announcement, so the wait for subsequent January Wave 1 builds is longer than usual. This year's wait ended on January 6, when Microsoft unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup for 2026.

Xbox Game Pass confirms first 7 games of 2026
This month's lineup opens with Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Editionwhich are already available to play as of today, January 6th, were dropped hours before the official announcement of Wave 1. They will follow Final Fantasy and Star Wars Outlaws January 8 and January 13 respectively. My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery then it should arrive on January 15 with MIO: Memories in Orbit and Resident Evil Village scheduled five days later. Of these seven titles alone MIO: Memories in Orbit was already confirmed to arrive on Xbox Game Pass in January 2026 ahead of today's announcement of the Wave 1 lineup.

Separately, the first Xbox Game Pass Premium catalog expansion of 2026 has been confirmed for January 7, when the service's mid-tier will get four new titles: Atomfall, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine – Master Crafted Editionand Rematch. All four are available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from the first half of 2025.

In addition to outlining the Wave 1 Xbox Game Pass lineup for January 2026, Microsoft also today shared the official list of titles slated to leave the service on January 15: Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Neon white, Route 96, Exitand The Grinch: A Christmas Adventure. None of this will come as a surprise to the most observant fans, as the Xbox app has already revealed mid-month Game Pass departures in early January.
