Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have six games lined up over the next few days with Mortal Kombat 1 is the largest title on the list. There are a lot of perks that come with an Xbox Game Pass subscription, and Microsoft is ending 2025 with a bang.
November brought a lot of fun games to the top tier of the Xbox gaming subscription Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, Crew: Motorfest, Kill it with fire! 2, Banishers: Ghosts of New Edenand The monsters are coming! Rock & Road all will arrive in the second half of the month. The hits for December have already started rolling in, as delivered by Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Marvel: Space Invasion December 1 and followed it up Lost Records: Bloom & Rage on December 2.

Towards the end of the year, the Ultimate tier of Xbox Game Pass will feature six more titles that will be released by December 11, including the best-selling fighting game of this generation. Mortal Kombat 1 comes to Game Pass Ultimate on December 10, bringing Nether Realm Studios' 2023 hit to a new audience. With a robust story mode as well as a competitive online multiplayer scene, the reboot is legendary Mortal Kombat the fighting game franchise has proven to be very successful, with an 87% critic recommendation rate on OpenCritic, and creator Ed Boon revealed earlier this year that it has sold more than 6.2 million copies, placing it well ahead of Street Fighter 6 for the biggest hit fighting game of this current generation of consoles. This large fan base means all the Game Pass Ultimate subscribers who missed out Mortal Kombat 1 for now, he'll have a chance to get to the party soon.
Also coming this month on December 9th is an indie darling A game about digging a hole. A backyard hole-digging simulation that tasks players with digging tunnels into the ground to collect precious ores, the game has a simplistic nature that only adds a touch of mystery and horror as players dig further down, and its rise in popularity has been aided by a few popular streamers. Released in February by developer DoubleBee, A game about digging a hole has passed impressive milestones on Steam, where it holds an “overwhelmingly positive” 96% recommendation rate and has already sold over a million copies.
Other additions coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in the coming days include: Routine December 4th Death howls and Guardian of the Dome on December 9 and Bratz: Rhythm and Style December 11th. Created by Lunar Software, Routine is a promising sci-fi horror game and the first day of Game Pass Ultimate pickup that will allow subscribers to immerse themselves in the terrifying environment of the moon base at launch. Initially only available on PC and handhelds, Death howls is the latest game released by 11 Bit Studios, the creator of The Alters and Frostpunk franchise and its RPG and card game elements make up the second day one game on the list. Bippinbits' 2022 tower defense game Dome Keeper is also coming to Ultimate subscribers, as is Recotechnology SL' Bratz: Rhythm and Stylewhich features girls from the popular doll line traveling to major cities around the world and allows players to design customizable outfits for them.
While a new crop of games debuts on Game Pass, others are preparing for their end, including another successful Mortal Kombat title. Subscribers can only collect souls until December 15th Mortal Kombat 11which is set to leave Game Pass on the same day as the survival adventure game Still Wakes the Deep and a roguelike deck builder Wildfrost. Two more games will bid farewell to the subscription service on December 31st as players look to pack in the horror game Carrion and the tactical multiplayer FPS Hell Let Loose before that.
