Mario tennis fever has officially revealed one of the main gameplay mechanics in the latest entry in the franchise, where players can manipulate the opponent's court. Mario Tennis Fever reveals new Fever rackets
The latest trailer for Nintendo's Overview game Mario tennis fever demonstrates some of the different types of Fever Rackets. Judicial manipulation is one of the biggest hotspots Mario tennis feverspecial rackets, where the Fire Racket creates small pockets of fire and the Ice Racket freezes part of the court. The trailer also teases the ability of players returning Fever Shots to take advantage of their effect and potentially gain an opponent's bonus with a well-placed return. Fever Shots will also have an associated HP mechanic where players will take damage and may be temporarily knocked out of an opponent's Fever Shot effects.

Mario tennis fever boasts plenty of newcomers to the tennis spinoff, with new characters like Goomba, Nabbit, and Baby Waluigi joining the roster. Nintendo has teased some of the game modes included in it Mario tennis fever too, including the new Wonder Court Match, heavily inspired Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Mario tennis fever also boasts extensive online gameplay at launch, not only including online lobbies and ranked matches, but even GameShare support on the Switch 2.
Mario tennis fever sets itself up as a great start for Mario sports franchise spinoffs on Switch 2. Mario tennis fever will be the first major Mario sports spinoff released on Nintendo's latest home console, with no official confirmation of future games yet. Switch 2 already includes some classics Mario sports games via Nintendo Switch Online, incl Super Mario Strikers through an exclusive selection of GameCube Switch 2 games.
