Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen have been available on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 for almost a month now, and players are getting creative and trying to prove themselves when it comes to battling the Elite Four. Whether you're looking for a shiny hunt Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreenAt the beginning of the game and you're still stuck in Oak's lab (trust me, I know), you're about to beat the game for the first time, or you're experimenting with new challenges, there are some limits on how likely you are to complete 100% of these games. As strange as it sounds, a big problem can arise from your trainer card.
There are several hidden challenges in it Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreensuch as beating the Elite Four 200+ times to unlock all the plush Pokemon in Lorelei's house on Four Island. Some of these are never mentioned in the actual game, meaning they are common knowledge since these titles came out in 2004, so there is a long history of fan theories and first hand experiences. In the case of a coach card Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen make it somewhat customizable, but you need to have two or more players together to fully get everything you can, if at all possible.
Pokémon player FireRed and LeafGreen defeated the elite four with only 1 Caterpie
A smart Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen player can defeat the Elite Four using a single Caterpie.
Say goodbye to 100% completion in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen
Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreenVersion exclusivity already prevents solo players from actually completing the Pokedex, but while you can get around it with two Switch consoles and trade alone, you can't do that with all aspects of the game. Your trainer card can be “upgraded” with both stars and stickers and these are:

If you are familiar with the route Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen feature, you probably already know that you can't complete all of these secret achievements. For starters, National Dex would require Gen 3, as game trading to complete Home of Pokemon it only allows you to transfer Pokemon into it FireRed and LeafGreennot from that. Additionally, there are some online requirements, but since these games don't have online features, you can only complete them locally with other players.
Why is it practically impossible to 100% Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen
This means you'd have to trade all the exclusives from your version with those from the other just to complete the Kanto Dex, and you'd also need three players to do so because of the starters. Then you need at least two players to play Pokemon Jump and you need to jump 200 times in one session and you need at least three players to play Dodrio Berry Picking and pick 200 berries. Finally, you have to win (not play) 100 Link Battles to get the highest level matching sticker, which means if you have it with a friend, you'll have to go through the 200 battle process, assuming you return the favor. This is a massive ask, and given that completing the Pokedex v Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen is currently impossible, it won't be worth doing for completion until the Gen 3 games come out on Switch as well.
That is, even if you beat Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreenyou really can't beat the whole game yet. You can skip the stars and stickers on the trainer cards entirely if you wish, and given the requirements, you couldn't fault it.
