ZA Mega Dimension has broken Flygon fans

Pokemon Legends: ZA Legends has introduced a bunch of new Mega Evolutions, some pretty awesome and some extremely cursed – looking at you Mega Starmie. Regardless of what you think of their design, it's nice to see some new Pokemon getting Mega Evolutions so long after the gimmick was first introduced, and for fans of a certain Dragon/Ground type, it was a chance for redemption.

Mega Flygon is something Pokemon fans have wanted for quite some time. You can very easily find Reddit threads from years ago calling for #JusticeForFlygon, but all those years ago fans gave up almost all hope of Mega Evolutions coming back. With Pokemon Legends: ZA bringing this trick back, Flygon fans once again believed that their favorite green dragon would finally get the respect it deserves.

However, Pokemon Legends: ZA came and went without a single Mega Flygon in sight. It was demoralizing, but the Mega Dimension DLC announced before the game's release is sure to deliver, right? This is most likely the last chance for Flygon to finally get his Mega Evolution, so he needs to be there. Right?

Pokemon Legends: ZA Mega Dimension broke Flygon fans

Unfortunately, Game Freak seems to have some vendetta against poor Flygon. The Pokemon Legends: ZA Mega Dimension DLC is now here, flooding the game with tons of other Mega Evolutions, but none of them are the elusive Mega Flygon that fans have been asking for literally years. They didn't take it well.

Most of the anger was directed at other Mega Evolutions like Tatsugiri and Pokemon that got two like Lucario and Absol. Mega Garchomp also seems to be catching a lot of heat from Flygon fans, as seen in the Reddit thread above by a user named MajoraPosser.

“Another miss on Mega Flygon. I'll never get over this,” commented a user named Aeropsia. “They put two Megas for Garchomp, while Flygon doesn't exist in the game, what did Flygon do with gf?” reads another comment from a user called Electrode_. I think with Garchomp being a dragon friend, people see it as Flygon's rival, but it seems like a pretty one-sided rivalry.

It's a similar story on Twitter, where some people are settling for another DLC expansion that could potentially include Mega Flygon, but if Game Freak has any plans, they're keeping their cards pretty close to their chest. The whole situation is pretty well summed up by a tweet from Twitter user Pory, who simply says “it's over” along with a gif of someone crying. To be honest guys, I'm right there with you.
