ZA players can have free shiny waits without realizing it

Pokemon Legends: ZA is a flash hunter's dream come true as it includes all the quality of life mechanics necessary to give players the best chance of finding a shiny creature in the wild. The return of the shiny sparkling sound when one appears on the screen makes you hunt Pokemon Legends: ZA much easier than in Scarlet and Violetand on the same level Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The game even includes a broken shiny hunting method that is almost guaranteed to get results, but players can lose even easier shinys using this strategy by not checking one nearby area.

Shiny hunting in Pokemon Legends: ZA further aided by the fact that Shiny Pokemon will not spawn unless knocked out in battle or frightened. This means players may have shiny Pokémon waiting to be caught if they haven't checked certain areas while hunting. With how effective Wild Zone 3's flash hunting method is, players could accidentally spawn a flash they weren't aware of just outside of this wild zone.

Pokemon Legends: ZA Shiny Hunters should not overlook this area when farming Wild Zone 3

By far the best spot for glowing hunting Pokemon Legends: ZA is in Wild Zone 3 because players can use an interactive staircase that automatically takes the player to the top of the lookout tower in the zone. By going back and forth between the top and bottom of this tower, players can quickly reset Wild Zone 3 spawns until a shiny appears. With this method, players can easily find shines like:

  • Skiddo (land, southwest area)

  • Pancham (country, variable location)

  • Litleo (land, northwest area)

  • Espurr (land, northeast area)

  • Flabebe (ground, middle)

  • Pikachu (Ground, Southeast Area)

  • Litleo (Alpha, building entrance)

  • Fletchling (Alpha, building roof)

Pokemon that appear in the building next to Wild Zone 3 are affected by the stair reset method

Obviously, the main targets for this hunting method will be the spawns in Wild Zone 3, but there is another location that is also affected by the staircase reset method. Just outside of Wild Zone 3, players can find one of these Pokemon Legends: ZAHovels that give them access to the rooftops of Lumiose City. This location is close enough to the Wild Zone that entering and exiting the lookout also resets the wild Pokemon that can spawn here as well. So it's possible that players who spent a lot of time shiny hunting in Wild Zone 3 may have inadvertently spawned a shiny Pokémon on this rooftop without realizing it.

Up to 10 Shiny Pokemon will remain on the map at a time, so players who are having trouble getting new ones may want to check this area to clear out any Shiny creatures that may be taking up a slot here.

By not checking this roof, potential shiny pokemon players may be missing out

  • Scatterbug

  • Vivillon

  • Will be

  • Goomy (cloudy weather)

  • Sliggoo (cloudy weather)

The most common shiny Pokemon that appear in this location are nothing special. Scatterbug and Vivillon aren't the most interesting critters, but both have solid sheens with dark gray parts of their bodies turning white, while Budew's green front leaves turn purple. The real stars of the show are Goomy and Sliggoo, who have fantastic shiny variants that turn their entire bodies from purple to yellow. Goomy and Sliggoo may have the least chance of spawning, given that they only spawn in cloudy weather, but potentially having a shiny Psuedo-Legendary Pokemon like this waiting for them is as good a reason as any for players to check the rooftops near Wild Zone 3 just to be sure.
