ZA players randomly lose a unique Pokémon

Some Pokemon Legends: ZA players release a certain Spewpa without realizing that it will evolve into the only blue Vivillon available in the game. Second Legends The game introduces several new Pokemon forms, but one of the designs that is causing the most controversy right now is an old one. While Pokemon Legends: ZA is not Marine Vivillon's first time, several users have learned the hard way that the form only appears once in the game.

After an initial launch full of leaks, the latest Pokemon the title is off to a strong start. In just one week, Pokemon Legends: ZA sold 5.8 million copies worldwide, far from the most the series has ever achieved, but surpassing Pokemon X/Y and Let's go Pikachu/Eevee. When fans got into it, some came away with an unfortunate surprise.

Pokemon Legends players: MISTAKELY release the only blue Vivillon in the game

Players shared that they received Spewpa for completing Pokemon Legends: ZASpewp's mission at the museum evolves into the only marine Vivillon pattern in the game, causing the others to lament that they released him. As users point out, the game never suggests that the Spewpa in question is unique. It also doesn't seem to be any different from other Spewpa until it evolves, leading many to trade or release it, thinking it's just a regular, low-powered Pokemon they don't need after they've already caught another for their Pokedex.

Marine Vivillon isn't particularly rare throughout the series, but it is in the latest game. While Pokemon Go has 18 different forms of Vivillon, all containing Vivillon Legends of ZA are the pink Meadow form, with the only exception being the reward for completing the Spewpa quest in the museum. As a result, once players get rid of it, there is no way to get it back into the game. Collectors can still get it from Pokemon Gobut because Legends of ZA doesn't have Home of Pokemon compatibility yet, it may take a while before they can port Marine Spewp to the new title.

Vivillon drama aside, some fans aren't happy with Game Freak's latest entry in the long-running franchise. Despite strong sales performance, Pokemon Legends: ZA was review-bombed shortly after release, as some gamers accused it of being “lazy” and relying too much on tropes and formulas that some say are a little long in the tooth. At the same time, others praised her for breaking away from her Pokemon's turn-based combat and now looks forward to further breaking tradition in the next generation.
