Devil Fruits are incredibly important as the main energy system in One piece story, but also as a mystery with a massive lore behind it. All Devil Fruits bring some kind of ability; however, not all these abilities are equal. In the world One pieceDevil Fruits can also provide massive firepower. Some of the most powerful fruits in the One Piece world provide power so great that the user can essentially destroy entire islands with remarkable ease. They are the most destructive Devil Fruits and are often wielded by the highest levels of the One Piece world.

Goro Goro no Mi

Goro Goro no Mi is a Logia-type devil fruit currently owned by Enel. This Devil Fruit translates to Rumble Rumble Fruit and simply put, it allows one to transform into, create and control lightning. Enel showed off in the Skypiea Arc how terrifying this Devil Fruit can be, even though he's not the strongest character around.

Enel's Raigo ability was powerful enough to one-shot the vast majority of his enemies, and he demonstrated that he could give out 200 million volts effortlessly. Not only that, but Enel is one of the few characters who canonically already destroyed the island, and it happened without having to awaken its Devil Fruit. An awakened Goro Goro no Mi could even potentially destroy the entire world.

Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika

• Type: Mythical Zoan

Luffy's Devil Fruit, previously thought to be Gomu Gomu no Mi, was revealed in Wano to be a mythical Zoan known as Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. When awakened, this Devil Fruit allows Luffy to transform into the Sun God Niku. The Sun God Nika is known as a savior, but he is also believed to be a destroyer.

Luffy showed the potential to easily destroy an entire island through his battle with Kaido. Giant Luffy can reach incredible dimensions, so he was able to destroy an entire island with his Gear 5. His most powerful technique, the Bajrang Gun, is so massive that it would crush all of Onigashima the first time it connects. Luffy is more than capable of destroying entire islands.

Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu

Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu was considered the best devil fruit in the world for a while. It is a mythical Zoan that allows its users, be it Kaido or Momonosuke, to transform into a massive eastern dragon. The dragon form of this Devil Fruit grants incredible abilities such as manipulation of wind, lightning, and even fire breath.

However, its true island-destroying potential comes from the Drum Dragon transformation. In this transformation, Kaido is engulfed in magma-like flames and becomes about the same size as Onigashima. Kaid's ultimate form can undoubtedly destroy the island as well.

Gura Gura no Mi

• Type: Paramecia

Gura Gura no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that was previously in the hands of the strongest man in the world, Whitebeard. It has been taken over by Blackbeard since the Summit War. Canonically, Gura Gura no Mi is a devil fruit that can destroy not only the island, but the entire world. This was stated by Oda himself in the story, and fans will quickly understand why.

This devil fruit allows you to create earthquakes and tsunamis. By going on everything or awakening this devil fruit, its user could destroy everything with natural disasters. In this sense, his destructive potential is the greatest in the entire story.

Yami Yami no Mi

• User: Blackbeard

• Type: Logia

Yami Yami no mi is one of the most special Logia Devil Fruits around. After searching for it for a long time, Blackbeard ate it. This Devil Fruit allows you to create and control darkness; however, unlike other Logia, the user cannot turn dark after being eaten. It also comes with another drawback which is double damage from attacks.

That being said, it's still the strongest Logia around and one that could destroy the entire island. With Yami Yami no Mi's full potential unlocked, Blackbeard could destroy an entire island through his Black Hole ability. With Black Hole, Blackbeard has already shown enormous destructive potential. Whatever power this Devil Fruit would grant upon awakening would make it even more destructive, making it a fruit with the potential to destroy the entire world.

Magu Magu no Mi

Magu Magu no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit in the possession of current Fleet Admiral Akainu. This Devil Fruit is undoubtedly one of the most devastating types of Logia. It allows a person to transform, control and create magma that in One pieceit burns even hotter than fire. Akainu's magma can melt anything in its path.

He's already pretty overpowered on his own, but with Devil Fruit Awakening he can destroy any island as seen on Punk Hazard. Akainu has turned half of Punk Hazard into a barren magma land that is essentially uninhabitable. He could definitely destroy the entire island if he wanted to.

Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr

Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr is one of the latest Devil Fruit reveals in the Elbaf arc. The Nidhoggr Devil Fruit is a mythical Zoan that allows Loki to transform into a western dragon from Norse mythology. This Devil Fruit is extremely overpowered. As shown by Loki, this Devil Fruit allows the user to grow exponentially in size relative to their original size. In the hands of someone like Loki, an ancient giant who towers over most other characters, this fruit has insane destructive potential.

In his dragon form, Loki is massive and can easily destroy most islands. Not only does Nidhoggra's full form offer massive size, but it also grants Loki some lightning powers.

Akuma no Mi

• User: Nerona Imu

• Type: Unknown

Imu's Devil Fruit is called Akuma no Mi, and this fruit was first revealed in One Piece Chapter 1179. It is a special Zoan Fruit that allows Imu to transform into a devil and manipulate black flames called Omen or Maki, which have both defensive and offensive abilities of the highest order. Some of the abilities Imu has demonstrated include the ability to turn enemies into slave demons through Domi Reversi, the ability to use magic-like abilities, and the ability to enter into Covenants with his subordinates.

With all this in mind, Imu can undoubtedly destroy the island. Imu can easily turn everyone on the island into slaves and wipe it off the map. Of course, so far Imu has only shown fans a glimpse of his true potential with the devil fruit. The true potential of Imu's mysterious Devil Fruit would come later.
