Scarlet & Violet

Market price: $137.22

The first booster box of the Scarlet & Violet era can be done for just under $140, which is honestly pretty good when you look at the most valuable cards from this set.

At the top of the list is Gardevoir EX with a price point of $48.07, which is part of a triptych of cards with attached artwork by Jiro Sasuma showing a young girl with Ralts growing up and becoming a mother with Kirlia by her side, and then a Gardevoir card that shows woman as a grandmother.

Paradox Rift

Market price: $139.93

Paradox Rift was the fourth full expansion released during the Scarlet & Violet era, and featured the debut of the Ancient and Future subtypes on the cards, although Paradox Pokemon had already been featured in the original Scarlet & Violet set, as had Obsidian Flames.

The best Chase cards from this set are all special illustration rares, with the striking Groudon rounding out the charts at a mid-value of nearly $70. Then there's the roaring Moon EX (paradox version of Salamence) for under $60. Elsewhere, cards with brilliant artwork like The Sir Iron Hands and pairing cards for Plusle and Minun by Okacheke can be had for less than $20.

Star crown

Market price: $147.83

The seventh set released so far during the Scarlet & Violet era was the crowning glory that saw the debut of Tera-type Pokemon as well as the reveal of the 'Po available in indigo disc DLC for the main Scarlet & Violet games.

Forces of Time, the fifth expansion since Scarlet & Violet, saw the debut of several important legendary 'Mon from the main games – including ancient and future versions of Virizion, Cobalion, Entei, Suicune and more.

As expected, the special illustrations of the rare versions of these cards are the best Chase cards of the set, with the ferocious Bolt ex (Ancient Raika) tipping the scales with a median price point of $93.54. That's almost $30 more than the next most valuable, which is Iron Crown EX – which will become one of the best future Pokémon in the TCG.

Obsidian flames

The third set in the Scarlet & Violet Pokemon TCG era is Obsidian Flames, which debuted a new version of one of the most iconic Pokemon of all time, especially when it comes to the TCG: Charizard.

As expected, this Dark-type version of Charizard boasts the best two most valuable cards of the set, with strikingly beautiful (and, frankly, totally Badass) special artwork rarely topping out the value charts with an average price of just over $70. The Hyper Rare Gold Border version is second at $26.15.

Following the forces of time as the sixth set from the Scarlet & Violet era is Masquerade Twilight, which debuted with cards featuring Pokemon and characters from the Teal Mask DLC in the main games.

The second set released in the Scarlet & Violet era of the TCG was developed by Paldea. This set actually has some impressive hits if you were to tear down decks for a year and a half after this set was released, with five impressive chase cards fetching median prices of nearly $50 or more.

The best Chase card from this set is a beautiful rare Magikarp illustration with artwork by Shinji Kanda. This card will set you back more than $200 per unworn copy, with graded copies increasing in value if they are highly scrapped. In addition, Paldea developed the traits of sought-after trainer Ion, Tyranitar, and Raichu.

This box includes the best chaos card across all Scarlet & Violet sets to date, Pikachu Ex with a market price of $471.90, so it's no wonder this booster box is the most valuable from this era.
