Battlefield 6 Dev says “Rose Color Glasses” make the remaster of the old map more

Battlefield has been so long that it would make no sense for DICE to completely forget this past, especially when it comes to elements of certain games that fans loved. Fortunately, once in a while, one bright cookie decided that remastering maps could be a way to pull the cardiac strings of long -term fans of the series, and strengthen the number of things for their current game.

Battlefield 6 will not be an exception because it includes several remastered maps from previous Battlefield games. Although you may think it was an easy way to reduce costs and get some easy victories under the belt, it turns out that remastering maps really requires much more effort than you would think.

Speaking with PCGAMESN, the owner of the DICE product and the Shahanka design manager explained how difficult the remaster of the old map can be, mostly thanks to the combination of players' expectations and their “pink glasses” increases pressure. He speaks mainly about Firestorm Operation, a map from Battlefield 3, which is remastered to 6, explains all the things that are taken into account during the remaster process.

“There is a challenge,” he says. “How do we do it as destructive as any map in the package? How do we make sure the map works with weapons that differ from weapons in Battlefield 3?

Cube producer Jeremy Chubb then continues to back up the explanation and claims that remastering maps of fans from older games “increase bets higher than ever” because players want to see their previous experience on the map realized in a new game, which can be very difficult to handle.

It all sounds much more complicated than you would think it would be easy to reworking the old map, but I think it shows how much DICE really wants to please fans of the series and this time things to get. Meanwhile, it seems that they can do it quite well, but we will have to wait and see if DICE can land landing when Battlefield 6 runs next month.
