This article contains spoilers from Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes manga.
Naruto Uzumaki is not at his best Boruto: Two Blue Vortexeswith Kishimoto and Ikemoto doubling down on him by portraying him as a hero whose vulnerability and loss of power forces him to rely on the next generation of ninja in Konoha. He passes the torch to Boruto, Sarada, and even Himawari, a move that feels inevitable and controversial among hardcore fans.
Still, Naruto is Naruto, and fans want the one and only legendary shinobi back, no matter what future awaits him in Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes manga. However, bringing him back now will not guarantee Naruto Uzumaki's survival as his power level makes him much more vulnerable than ever before. With divine enemies targeting Naruto, his return could easily take a turn for the worse.

Naruto needs help to return to the outside world.
There is nothing more difficult than watching fans see their favorite ninja wither away, especially when that ninja is Naruto Uzumaki, who defeated the most powerful villains and inspired an entire generation with his unyielding will. He was once the savior of the world along with Sasuke Uchiha, but now he is a trapped and weakened ninja unable to lift a finger against the enemies threatening Konoha.
With Naruto sealed in the Daikokuten dimension, there is no clear explanation as to what state he is in now. When fans last heard from him, Naruto was frozen in time, unable to grow stronger, train in secret, or even sense what was happening to his precious village in the outside world. Much like an NPC, Naruto Uzumaki now exists in a state of forced silencewhile the world goes on without him.
That goes without saying Naruto's power went downespecially after losing Kurama. While fans are still debating whether or not Naruto has access to Six Paths Sage Mode, it's clear that his overall strength has taken a big hit, as well as Sasuke who lost the Rinnegan and was unfortunately turned into a tree.
Naruto would not survive a serious battle against Jura
Jura wants Naruto Uzumaki dead
Jura's full strength has yet to be revealed, but based on his remarkable displays of strength not only in Konoha, but also in the Land of Wind, he may very well be the strongest character living in the land. Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes at the moment. His overwhelming presence and effortless dominance in battle suggests that even the current Naruto Uzumaki would struggle to match him.
Boruto Uzumaki is one of the characters who recognizes Jura's terrifying power, and Kashin Koji backs it up with his own visions of the enemy's devastating potential. Boruto can't solo someone like Jura— at least not yet. Even with his new upgrades and refined techniques, Boruto still needs the cooperation of Kawaki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki to face Jura, hoping to take him down before he goes after Naruto in earnest.
Boruto, with what I'm doing now, all the people in this village are like family. – Naruto Uzumaki to Boruto
Time is running out for Boruto and his allies as Jura targets Naruto. If he really angers Jura, which Shikamaru and the others are desperate to prevent, the consequences could be catastrophic. One wrong move could provoke Jura to launch a full-scale attack on Konoha, reducing the village to nothing before Boruto even gets a chance to see Naruto again.
Naruto's time will come, but it's not now
He could come back stronger than ever or not at all
If Kishimoto and Ikemoto wanted Naruto Uzumaki dead, they could have done it long ago in Borutoinstead of going to another dimension with Hinata. This narrative choice suggests that Naruto's time will come, but not anytime soon. The delay in his return keeps the emotions and anticipation even higher, even as fans become increasingly restless to see the Seventh Hokage return to his place.
Additionally, Naruto's absence prompts more theories about his return, whether he will return with a shocking power upgrade, perhaps a new and superior technique that will allow him to keep up with the villains and the rapidly evolving next generation. At this point, however, fans should keep their expectations low, given that there is no clear way for Naruto Uzumaki to get stronger while he remains locked in the Daikokuten dimension.
