NetEase Games revealed it Marvel Rivals will collaborate with the TV show Marvel Zombies bring a new PvE mode to the popular hero shooter. While many characters from Marvel Zombies are also present in Marvel Rivalssome main characters, such as Ms. Marvel and the Red Guardian, have yet to appear in the game.
Marvel Rivals is currently midway through Season 4, which brought new heroes like Angela and Daredevil to the title. Detailing what players can expect in the future, NetEase Games has announced that it will be adding crossover progression to the hero shooter during Season 5. Many fans have expressed excitement about this addition, as it's a feature the community has been asking for since a year Marvel Rivals' launch in December 2024. Cross-progression will allow players to seamlessly move between platforms without losing access to cosmetics they've purchased or rewards they've earned.
Marvel Rivals is getting a Zombie game mode
In a recent YouTube post, NetEase Games revealed that they will be releasing a new Marvel Rivals game mode as part of cooperation with Marvel Zombies tv show on Disney+. The new zombie game mode will give players the opportunity to face endless waves of zombies. Players will even be tasked with taking down bosses from the show such as Zombie Namor and The Queen of the Dead. While the trailer reveals that players will gain access to the new mode on October 23rd, it doesn't mention if or when it will end.
The developers also revealed that players will not be able to bring every hero into the fight against the zombie horde. Instead, players will have to choose between Magik, Jeff the Land Shark, Blade, The Punisher, and Thor v Marvel Rivals. Each hero also gets a unique ability that makes them even scarier on the battlefield as they fend off endless waves of zombies. Players can choose between five heroes, but only teams of four will be able to participate in the mode.
According to a recent roadmap shared by NetEase Games, it looks like players can look forward to an influx of Halloween treats as well. Marvel Rivals. In addition to launching his upcoming Marvel Zombies– inspired by the game mode, players will be able to get spooky costumes for heroes like Jeff the Land Shark, Peni Parker, Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man. With so much content to enjoy and even more around the corner, many fans are optimistic about the future Marvel Rivals.
