Xbox Game Pass is losing Return to Monkey Island and two more titles later today, October 31st. The upcoming catalog rotation will bring the total number of Xbox Game Pass departures in October 2025 to seven.
Ranked in the 98th percentile of all releases rated on OpenCritic, Return to Monkey Island is one of the highest rated titles currently available on Xbox Game Pass. This is the latest addition to the Monkey Island franchise, taking place shortly after the events of the year Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. Not required for fun when playing the first two items Return to Monkey Islandit enhances the experience with lots of callbacks scattered throughout the game 2022. Playing later parts beforehand will have a similar effect.
Return to Monkey Island after 3 years
The October 31st Xbox Game Pass catalog rotation will result in the loss of service Return to Monkey Island, Metal Slug Tacticsand Justin. The trio is expected to launch around midnight local time, so technically players should have access until November 1st. In addition to being the highest rated title in this batch, Return to Monkey Island it also has the longest Game Pass lifespan of the bunch, having originally joined the service in early November 2022. It's now just eight days away from its third anniversary on the platform. As usual, departures on October 31st can currently only be purchased with a member discount of up to 20%.
All Xbox Game Pass games end after October 31st
Xbox Game Pass has already lost four more titles as of mid-October 2025: Cocoon, Guardian of the core, Donut Countyand Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed. This latest batch brings the total number of removals per month to seven. At the same time, October saw 66 new additions to the service, resulting in a net gain of 59 titles. Even if you don't count the heavy dose of Ubisoft+ Classics shadow that dropped on October 1st along with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate price hike, the platform still added 19 new releases – far more than it lost in the last 31 days.

Xbox Game Pass currently has half a dozen titles confirmed for November 2025. The upcoming batch starts with 1000x Res and Football Manager 26both drop on the first Tuesday of the month, November 4th. Whiskerwood, Voidtrain, Winter burrowand Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be launched within the next ten days. Xbox Game Pass departures on November 15th are expected to be officially announced around November 4th, when Microsoft will most likely finalize its entire Wave 1 lineup for next month.
