This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
One Piece's The Elbaf arc is well underway and fans know this segment the story is heavily inspired by Norse mythology. This was made clear to fans long before Elbaf even started, as it was hinted around the Little Garden arc.
Now that Elbaf has officially started, fans know that there are a lot of incredible things to look forward to, and especially new characters to witness. Fans know that Oda takes inspiration from legendary characters and inevitably ends up using some characters from Norse mythology for his version of Elbaf.
Loki
Cursed Prince
Loki is a character that fans know exists in the One Piece world. He was first introduced during the Whole Cake Island arc where it was revealed that he wanted to marry Lola. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Now that Elbaf has started, Loki has already been introduced to fans. The fans know Loki being a master of deception in Norse mythologyand also incredibly cunning. The One piece version of this character may retain these traits.
Odin
Mighty God
Odin is an incredibly famous figure in Norse mythology. He is one of the strongest gods of all, wielding his spear Gungnirand often in the form of ravens. Fans know that Odin is incredibly strong, even if it is unclear whether this character actually exists within him One piecefans know that Loki definitely exists and his own father Odin could be an inspiration to some as well. This character could make for an incredibly exciting story arc, especially if he turns out to be as powerful as he is known to be from Norse mythology. Maybe, the celestial realm of Elbaf will have something to do with him.
Thor
Loki's brother in mythology
Thor, the god of lightning, known as a symbol of bravery and strength, could very well be present in the Elbaf Arc One piece. Thor is Loki's brotherand fans know him as the most famous Norse god of all. If Loki exists in One Piece, it's possible that Thor does too.
He wields the Mjolnir hammerand is known to have enormous amounts of power. Hopefully, if One Piece does have a Thor, it will be someone with a charming personality and powerful strength to back it up.
Jormungandr
A potential hellfire serpent
Jormungandr is a huge snake known to be A descendant of Loki in mythology. He is also known to be responsible for the end of the world. A snake is unlikely to occur in Elbaf. Strangely, they referenced Dorry and Brogy, the two giants from Little Garden a snake soaked in red bloodreferring to the red line. Since it is the only legendary serpent in Norse mythology associated with Loki and other gods, it could be involved in the story in one way or another. Oda has already introduced himself the Hellfire serpent on the Elbaf muraland it could be Jormungandr. This creature could have appeared through a devil fruit.
Bladder
Child of Odin and Frigg
The likes of Loki may turn out to be the enemy side of the Strawhat Pirates in the elbaf arc, but on the good side characters like Baldr could be introduced later in the arc. Baldr, the child of Odin and Frigg, was considered the purest of all the gods. Unfortunately, in Norse mythology, Baldr is eventually killed and his death is seen as a sign Ragnarok impending.
If Oda incorporates Baldr into the Elbaf Arc, he will be an exciting individual who, if he dies, can trigger the start of the Great War.
Freya
Goddess of Norse mythology
Of course, Oda would also like to introduce some interesting female characters in Elbaf. If it's to take inspiration from Norse mythology, maybe Freya is one character he would like to introduce. Often associated with teams like love, fertility and beauty, Freyja could be one character that Oda incorporates into Elbaf. This wouldn't come as a surprise to any fan, considering Oda loves it when the right female character is known as the most beautiful in the various lands he explores.
For example, Fishman Island had Shirahoshi. Meanwhile, Wano Country had Komurasaki, while Boa Hancock is generally considered the most beautiful. Maybe Freyja could be a bit of a similar character, much more important than Komurasaki and also more interesting. It could be introduced in the Elbaf Heavenly Realm.
Fenrir
The legendary wolf
Another descendant of Loki, Fenrir was a descendant of Lokihe was just like Jormungandr. He is believed to be so powerful that he was eventually a threat to the gods themselves. Fenrir could turn out to be a devil fruit One piecewhich may be controlled by Loki. It would certainly make for an interesting story, especially since it helps bring about the end of the world in Norse mythology, which is exactly what Loki wants to do.
