With a new entry in this beloved franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7players will have a whole new set of achievements/trophies available. While many of them are tied to the multiplayer and zombie modes, there are a few that you'll have to unlock by going the extra mile and completing some specific tasks in the co-op campaign.
One of them is the I Believe I Can Glide achievement, which requires players to continuously glide a staggering 800 meters without touching the ground. It sounds incredibly simple on paper, but it turns out that the wingsuit handles like a ship, which can cause a few headaches. Here's the best way to unlock this achievement and the easiest place to attempt the 800m flight over Avalon.
How to unlock I Believe I Can Glide
In order to make this flight successful, we won't actually attempt it in any of the 11 campaign missions. There's no place on the maps that's really high enough to consistently fly 800 meters, and getting back to high ground can be a bit of a pain if you're in a campaign. Instead, upload the 20-man Endgame mission and run it.
Black Ops 7 still counts this as a Co-op Campaign mission, meaning you can get this achievement by gliding there.
Now get ready because you attempt this achievement the moment you gain control of the player. As soon as you get out of the airship, immediately put on the wingsuit and start flying. You will want to keep your right thumb up slightly as this will prevent you from bending down to the ground. While in flight, watch the meter on the right side of the screen as it shows your current speed.
When you start to lose momentum, drop quickly and then pull back on your thumb to gain more speed. This is key to maintaining distance; otherwise you will slowly descend and it will be impossible to hit more than 800 meters. For perspective, in the photo above I was able to cross the river and get about half way up the hill before I hit the ground. You want to aim for at least that type of distance because I unlocked the I Believe I Can Glide achievement when I landed.
Remember, if you screw up an attempt, you can keep trying every time you start a new Endgame session. It may take a few tries to get used to the wingsuit, but once you get the rhythm of when to dive to gain speed and when to level off, you should be able to complete it easily.
