Fallout: New Vegas maybe it will get a remaster eventually. Fallout Fans have been clamoring for an updated version of the 2010 classic for some time now, but it's seemed increasingly unlikely as time has passed and Bethesda hasn't said anything about it. Just when it seemed all hope for a Fallout: New Vegas remaster was lost, one sentence fanned the flames back to life.
Anticipation peaked ahead of Bethesda's Fallout Day 2025 celebration, but quickly faded as the company revealed the next version Fallout 4 and announced no remasters or new games. Following this disappointing news, fan reviews bombed Fallout 4 on Steam and expressed frustration at a missed opportunity with regards to New Vegas. Now, however, it seems there could be good news ahead.
Jez Corden says Fallout: New Vegas Remastered is still happening
In response to a tweet about the rumours Fallout 3 remaster, Windows Central's Jez Corden told fans not to worry because Fallout: New Vegas is also being remastered. Corden offered no context and cited no sources, but as a prominent expert in the field with a history of making accurate claims, his confirmation, however brief, carries significant weight. Since dropping the bombshell in replies to a stranger's post, Corden has yet to comment on the matter, but a single tweet isn't the only potential evidence of an updated New Vegas fans have.
Months before Fallout Day 2025, VGC journalist Jordan Middler suggested that there were several Fallout projects currently in development, including “the one you all definitely want”. It's hard to imagine Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is the one all fans want and the idea Fallout has at least two things in the oven according to what Corden said. As a Fallout 3 a remaster looks more and more likely, doesn't rule out the possibility Fallout: New Vegas also receive the same treatment. Of course, all of these theories and claims are not official, so they may not prove to be true, but the overlap between them and the general credibility of their sources is worth noting.
There is currently no indication of when either remake might be released, but in light of the lack of much information, it seems like it could be a while. Bethesda missed a chance to gain ground Fallout: New Vegas15th anniversary, but more Fallout Days in the coming years might work as a good time to make an announcement. However, until the developers pull back the curtain a bit more, fans will have to deal with some uncertainty.
