The season 2 submission will have an impossible selection

This article contains spoilers for all 8 episodes Send.

Rise in popularity Send reflects the golden age of Telltale Games, with developer AdHoc creating one of the best choice-based narrative games in recent years. WITH Send with the 8-episode run completed, many fans are turning their attention to the second season. However, the effects of the player's choices on SendThe narrative creates a scenario where multiple different endings can occur, setting up the second season to find out which of the game's drastically different endings is the canon one.

Although Send Season 2 has not been officially confirmed, AdHoc Studio noted that it is a possibility Breaking BadAaron Paul, the voice of Robert Robertson, has stated that he hopes to do more with the character. The signs are positive for next season Sendespecially after the game far exceeded its sales expectations. It's unclear exactly where this second season might take the story, but regardless of that direction, it will have to decide which of the many endings of the first season to build on.

During the game Send asks players to make crucial decisions that will determine what ending they reach. In some cases, even a seemingly minor dialogue choice can have unexpected consequences and completely change the outcome Sendstory. For example, players who want to see Invisigal to a heroic end can fail simply by not trusting her once, so it's important to consider every option the game presents.

All possible send ends

  • Mentor Endings

    • Sorry Kid – Invisigal becomes a hero, Shroud is spared, Z-Team is united

    • I didn't see that coming — Invisigal kills the Shroud, becomes a villain

  • Romantic endings

    • Blond jacket

    • Invisigal (requires Pardon, Kid ending)

    • It's Complicated (Both Romance)

    • No romance

  • Shroud Endings

    • Robert kills the Shroud

    • Robert spares the Shroud and sends him to prison

There are three main aspects Sendan ending that came together in Episode 8: whether the Invisigal becomes a hero or a villain, who Robert falls in love with, and whether Robert kills or spares the Shroud. While some of these components can be combined and reconciled to some degree, others are mutually exclusive (such as the ending of Invisigal's romance, which requires her to become a heroine). With all of these factors to consider, narrowing down the potential endings for canonization in season two seems like an almost impossible task.

Although it may not suit some Send players, especially those who fell in love with Invisigal, the best ending for season two is the “Didn't See That Coming” ending where Visi embraces her villainous side. With the Shroud effectively neutralized at both ends, there must be a new villain to threaten the Z-Team. Send Season 2. With Invisigal toeing the antagonist line and taking over leadership of the Red Ring after killing the Shroud, it's easy to see how season two could follow Invisigal's redemption arc.

Even if Send Season 2 follows the best ending, where Visi remains a hero and the Shroud is spared, there is room for a new conflict for the Z-Team to emerge. Perhaps the Shroud escapes from prison, or Robert's relationship with the Blonde Blazer and the Invisigal becomes strained, leading players to a new character for Mecha Man. There is no perfect choice for the end of the canon Send due to the necessity of branching the game to make the result coherent. As a result, the future season Send will have to do the seemingly impossible and establish a “proper” ending for the first season.
