The reveal season has been full of amazing surprises, with some of the biggest names in the FPS world receiving a flurry of announcements that will look to keep the content flowing long after launch. Many of these DLC packs and updates have already been teased or suspected to be on the way, but others have come out of nowhere, re-igniting the fanbase and ushering in a whole new level of hype that may very well match the amount of the actual launch.

STALKER 2: The Price of Hope
Deep In The Heart Of The Zone
Details:
-
The story goes deep into the nuclear power plant
-
New weapons, equipment and enemies to encounter
-
It is expected in the summer of 2026
STALKER 2 the first major expansion, The price of hopeit looks like it will bring a significant chunk of content to the already expansive game, sending you right into the Chernobyl reactor site and building on the existing story rather than sidelining it. A darker, more ominous journey into the depths, you'll come face-to-face with new horrors you've never seen before, but luckily you'll also have some new tools in your arsenal to help you fight the menaces underground.
There seems to be a lot of emphasis on your role in the world and how your decisions will affect certain factions and the outcomes of each person you encounter. This makes the Zone a living, breathing environment shaped by gray decisions, and I for one am excited to experience more of the atmosphere and tension that the series has become known for.

DayZ may have been around for over a decade, but that hasn't stopped it from getting new updates and continuing to dominate the shooter world. Badlands it brings with it a completely different biome with huge stretches of desert and sand replacing the traditional forests, and as the biggest official biome to date, it looks incredibly unique for players of all kinds to play.
There's a lot of attention to detail when it comes to structures and environments, from crumbling cities to the foliage that surrounds them, and the combination of these factors should make it one of the more immersive and intense experiences the game has to offer. I was a fan DayZ since the early days and I'm always looking for reasons to come back so when Badlands dropsI will explore the wasteland along with thousands of other hungry survivors.

I hate modern FPS games, but I still love them
As a casual FPS fan, there are still a few FPS titles that are fun and exciting enough to keep you coming back.
Not only are there sandy islands and stunning beaches to explore, but there are plenty of other areas to be found beneath the surface that will no doubt bring more questions than answers. If you loved the base game, then this first story DLC should quench your thirst for more unpredictable survival action in a way you never knew you needed.
Outer Worlds 2/MOUSE: PI
More to come
Details:
-
Several story DLCs for both games
-
Specifics not yet known
Both Outer worlds 2 and MOUSE: PI for rent have confirmed plans for post-launch support in the form of DLC story packs. In case Outer worlds 2we'll get two separate expansions later, and if they follow the first game's DLC content plan, then we should be in for some pretty fun extra quests.
For MOUSEwe have even less to go on, with the only details being a new adventure for Jack Pepper and the fact that the content is labeled “Story DLC #1,” which could mean there's more to come. I expect an update for the base game with some arcade style content and potentially a prequel story that goes into Pepper's past, but we'll have to see where the cheese trail takes us next.
