A big part ARC Raiders the community decided to jump into the ongoing factional war going on between different streamers, but Civilians of Speranza declared themselves a neutral faction with rules that include avoiding PvP and reviving everyone. ARC Raiders was originally released on October 30th and is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
While Embark Studios has been busy releasing updates for ARC Raidersthe community decided to come together for their own live event on November 22nd. This event has been given several different names, but basically it is a faction war between some ARC Raiders“most prominent streamers. It seems like the whole thing started when HutchMF was taken down during an on-stream PvP encounter. The person who took out HutchMF reportedly taunted the streamer with the words “for Bungulators”. This was a reference to a player faction led by streamer Burnt Peanut. After the defeat, HutchMF took to social media and declared “war”. Lines were immediately drawn in the sand and other big bandwagoners got in on the act. Streamers like Ninja and Shroud joined Burnt Peanut, while other content creators like TimTheTatman and Nickmercs joined HutchMF, but not everyone wanted to join the fray.
ARC Raiders players have a big problem with one weapon in particular
ARC Raiders players have come together to express their collective disappointment with one particular weapon in the popular extraction shooter.
ARC Raiders' Civilians of Speranza declare neutrality
In a recent Twitter post, ARC Radar revealed new rules for a faction called Civilians of Speranza. People who want to join this faction must agree to avoid PvP, revive any downed raider they come across, stay neutral in the streamer war, try to recruit other friendly players, and wear the uniform of the designated faction. While wearing a uniform may seem odd at first glance, it is in keeping with the ongoing factional war. Each faction has its own set of cosmetics to show which streamer it has sworn allegiance to. For example, Burnt Peanut's Bungulators wore a red variant of the Striker skin. As for Speranza civilians, they are expected to wear the blue and white Ultra Marine variant ARC RaidersA Ryder skin that got a bit of a bad rap when the title first launched.
However, the streamer-driven faction war has managed to ruffle more than a few feathers, as not everyone wants to participate. Some players took to Reddit to vent their frustration, with one player posting that he can no longer wear his favorite outfits in the game without people thinking they're part of Burnt Peanut's Bungulators. It's not the first time some players have encountered obstacles while trying to enjoy themselves ARC Raidersas a lot of players complained about the PvP elements of the title as a whole.
While the extraction shooter genre has largely only appealed to a relatively narrow audience in the past, it seems as though ARC Raiders attracted the attention of a larger crowd. This has caused a bit of a rift in the community, as some players are eager to engage in the PvP elements of the title, while others are only interested in its PvE offerings. Some frustrations also stemmed from the differences between playing solo or in a group, as they can turn out to be very different experiences. In general, solo lobbies tend to be a bit friendlier as players regularly team up against ARCs themselves. Meanwhile, cooperation in group play is quite limited as players tend to fight each other more often.
Fans only interested in PvE content may be interested in what Embark Studios recently revealed ARC RaidersThe original concept was a cooperative PvE experience. While deploying the game, the developers were inspired by titles like Shadow of the Colossus and Left 4 Dead. Only later did the vision expand to include the PvP element, which greatly changed the direction of the game's future. While the final product may not appeal to the same audience as the original concept, there is no doubt that the developers have struck gold. ARC Raiders It seems to have resonated with many players around the world.
