Genshin Impact revealed character trailers for Durin and Jahoda, two new characters that will make their in-game debut in version 6.2. It's safe to say that the cast of Nod-Krai is loved Genshin Impact a community that boasts new favorites like Columbina and Varka, but also Durin and Jahoda. Durin has been a highly anticipated character since version 4.8, and his story has been steadily building since version 1.2.
On the other hand, Jahoda in Genshin Impact was a pleasant surprise. Jahoda's arrival in Nod-Krai wasn't expected, but thanks to Sonya Krueger's charming performance and HoYoverse's stellar animation work, Jahoda has amassed quite a following heading into version 6.2. While she won't be a 5-star character, Jahoda's skill set allows her to fill a special niche – the niche of a dedicated healer for Lunar Reaction teams.

Genshin Impact releases Durin and Strawberry as playable characters in version 6.2
In anticipation of their playable debut on December 3, 2025, HoYover has released character trailers for Durin and Strawberry. Durin's trailer highlights his story – particularly his struggle to adapt to the human world and his identity as one of Rhinedottir's many creations. Durin is shown integrating into Mondstadt's society: fishing with Klee, drinking with Dahlia and Kaeya, and receiving wisdom from Lisa. While this version of Durin v Genshin Impact he is meant to be a second chance, his heart is held by both his new and old selves. Players who complete his Story Quest in version 6.2 will be able to unlock a unique skin for Durin that highlights the difference between his past and future.
In contrast, Jahoda's trailer is a bit more optimistic. As the only official member of the Curatorium of Secrets, Jahoda deals with small tasks that Nefer has neither the time nor the patience for. Despite her cold demeanor, Nefer entered Genshin Impact she likes her employee, Jahoda tries to look competent and reliable. This dynamic is what initially endeared Jahoda Genshin Impact community, but has since developed a relationship with other characters such as Ineffa.
In terms of gameplay, Jahoda is a four-star Anemo Bow and a decent sidegrade for both Nefer and Flins. Genshin Impact. Like most Anemo characters, players should prepare a set of Viridescent Venerer artifacts with priority ATK% and Energy Recharge when building Strawberry. In particular, version 6.2 will allow fans to get the Energy Recharge bow from the flagship event.
As befits his character path, Durin can fill two distinct roles: as an on-field rider for Vaporize and Melt, or as an off-field support for Burning, Overload, Pyro Crystallize, and Pyro Swirl. While Strawberry was designed with Lunar Reaction in mind, Durin works best with Hexerei characters. As of version 6.2, Hexerei consists of eight Genshin Impact characters: Durin, Mona, Venti, Klee, Albedo, Razor, Sucharose and Fischl. If two Hexerei characters are paired in a team, they both gain powerful combat buffs. This is it Genshin Impact's attempt to give some of its oldest units a much-needed upgrade, but players will need to complete a set of quests in version 6.2 to unlock the Hexerei Rite for each character.
As for event banners, both Durin and Jahoda will appear in the first half of version 6.2, joined by Venti. After his Hexerei buffs, Venti proved to be one of Anemo's best hypercarriers Genshin Impactand even gets a new signature weapon to match. Players will be able to pull out behind The Daybreak Chronicles on the weapons banner Genshin Impact when version 6.2 launches on December 3, 2025.
