Springs, Eternal official trailer beckons with a hauntingly beautiful setting and story

Set in the secluded retreat of Stillwater Springs, Fullbright's Springs, Eternal takes the player on an exploratory journey through dark, winding, wooden paths surrounding an eerily dreamy, fog-shrouded cabin. Players make their way through restless forests and encounter a curious assortment of guests at a hot spring in the dead of night. As they progress through the mystifying resort, players will be able to piece together a humanistic and deeply honest memory of the long-forgotten romance that first brought them to Stillwater Springs. While the paths to uncovering one's past are shrouded in ominous darkness, the gradually expanding world will welcome the player on an emotional journey of self-discovery and finding purpose towards the future. Flashbacks will create a portrait of two people who once came together to share life as one, and players will have to continue to find out what lies ahead.

Springs, Eternal features lo-fi evocative graphics expressing the almost mysterious essence of Stillwater Springs, captured in shimmering pixels and hazy fog, while the audiovisual design evokes an experience reminiscent of late 90s PC and home console gaming for a truly ethereal journey. Players will be able to speak with more than a dozen unique characters, including a group of philosophers deep in debate, a tattoo that claims to be an oracle, and a group of young lovers searching for their destiny. As you learn the stories of each NPC they encounter, players will realize that some of the guests' stories overlap with their own and will have to figure out what connects them.

One brand new feature is included Springs, Eternal not yet offered by Fullbright in previous games, is a branching dialogue system that allows players to uncover new threads of conversation and guest interaction that span the entire resort property. Using clever discussion and observation skills, players will be able to uncover all that Stillwater Springs has to offer. From hidden pools, caves and other strange attractions around the cottage, new discoveries are always waiting. But players will have to be careful – other guests warn of certain dangers lurking in the woods, and a trusty flashlight can illuminate more than just memories hiding in unknown corners of darkness.

Gamers have long appreciated games that prioritize storytelling over high-octane action sequences with lots of fighting and grinding. Fans who like a more casual gaming experience with emotional depth, subtle world-building, and simple gameplay have enjoyed Fullbright's previous narrative-driven entries. Springs, Eternal looks to offer a similar experience with its own unique quirks and new additions. Springs, Eternal is now available to wishlist on Steam and is slated to launch sometime in 2026.
