However, as developers continue to release more and more skins, the pressure to create visually distinct outfits while maintaining the game's overall grounded tone can prove to be quite a challenge.

Games like Fortnite regularly add cosmetics that are bright, flashy, and (in the eyes of many) fun, in keeping with the cartoony art style of the title. This is worth noting Call of Duty has also embraced this trend as players can regularly see Seth Rogan and Nicki Minaj running around in the game. These transitions usually happen because the cosmetics themselves sell fairly well, which helps sustain these massive live-service titles financially. The rest of the outfit appears to be quite similar, although a bright yellow belt has been added to the character's arm. Many players were quick to share their displeasure with the original design of the Wicked Grin skin, which featured a bright blue color palette and a toothy white smile.
