One of the most important parts of the DLC to complete it and get everything is to make enough good donuts because they determine how many levels your Pokemon will get in Hyperspace Lumiose, how easy the Pokemon is to catch, and more importantly, how much time you have. Timing is of the essence if you want to fish the shines in Pokemon Legends: ZAand now it matters more than ever because the new patch killed the best hunting method in the game.
If your first guess is a bench, then relax, like a shiny hunt Pokemon Legends: ZA with benches is still possible and as good as ever. What is no longer possible, however, is the so-called “overload method”, which allowed you to bring multiple Pokemon from a given spawn point away from it, spawn different Pokemon in their place, and do this multiple times to increase the number of critters in that area. Pokemon Legends: ZA's Overload Shiny Hunting Method in Wild Zone 20 is officially dead
Pokemon Legends: ZAUpdate 2.0 not only adds all the new content from the Mega Dimension DLC, but also changes the core features of the game. One thing you should know as soon as possible is that the overload hunting method is now officially gone.
You've most likely used or seen it in some shape or form in Wild Zone 20, specifically since it was first discovered as a way to have six Alpha Pokemon in Wild Zone 20 under a tower instead of the usual two. This is terrible news for shiny hunters who like Alpha Pokemon, because almost 70 different species spawn under the Wild Zone 20 tower, so it is likely that they will find most of the creatures in the game as Alphas.
It's worth noting that if you still have any overloaded spawn points in your game, even multiple alphas in Pokemon Legends: ZA's Wild Zone 20, they will remain unless you catch or defeat them.
Pokemon Legends: ZA 2.0 DLC Patch will change the game forever
With release Pokemon Legends: ZAThe Mega Dimension DLC from Mega Dimension has brought a lot of new content for players to dig into. If you've already beaten the base game, you can immediately start the Mega Dimension DLC by heading to the roof of Hotel Z and slowly gaining access to several areas in Hyperspace Lumiose that contain some Pokemon already in the game and some new ones.
All returning Pokemon inside Pokemon Legends: ZADLC can be caught in expansions or earned later as exclusive rewards, and in some cases Mega Stones will be awarded in ranked seasons. The new Hyperspace Lumiose DLC areas are very different from the base game, so keep in mind:

Lumiose Hyperspace is only accessible with Anshon's Donuts and Hoop's Powers.

The donuts you create determine your Pokemon's level cap Pokemon Legends: ZA's DLC, with level over 100 possible and even necessary to beat the DLC.

Areas available on the map reset at sunrise/dawn and dusk, meaning you can use them Pokemon Legends: ZA's bench to reset which area of Hyperspace Lumiose will appear.

Each area is timed, with the time depending on what kind of berries you used, as well as the donut's star rating (1 to 5). With the right donuts, you can spend up to 6 minutes in each area.

Some hyperspace areas have an aerial access point on the map, meaning you can get to the entrance quickly.

Pokemon in Hyperspace Lumiose can be shiny, make a shiny sound, and behave exactly like Pokemon in the base game.

Before entering, you can see the Pokémon included in the area, giving you the ability to choose where to go and which critters to hunt.

How to Glow Hunt in Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Dimension DLC – Fast-Travel
The fast travel method is quite simple and is already viable in the base game. If the Hyperspace Lumiose area you are in has an aerial access point on the map, fly to it and reset all Pokemon within 50 meters of your spawn point. This is best when there are multiple creatures near the map entrance, meaning you can spam quickly and eventually find a shiny Pokemon.
Time spent loading screens while fast traveling will not count towards the time you have in that hyperspace area.
How to Shiny Hunt in Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Dimension DLC – Soft Reset
This method is only applicable if you have more than three minutes on the clock in a given area of Hyperspace, as you have to find a horde of Pokemon you want to hunt, defeat them, and then wait about two to three minutes for them to reappear. You should save about every 10-15 seconds until the Pokemon respawns, make sure you don't save right as it respawns or after. If the Pokemon isn't shiny, you can close and restart the game, then rinse and repeat until you find a shiny. Ideally, the area should allow you to be there for at least 4 minutes to get the most out of this method.
How to Shiny Hunt in Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Dimension DLC – Teleportation
In order for the teleportation method in Hyperspace Lumiose to be possible, you need to find an area with ground level “elevators” that take you far forward (or forward and higher) and that you can use repeatedly. They cannot be found in sewers, for example, but will appear in the actual cityscape. When you find them, and when the distance between two ground teleports is large enough, you'll spawn new Pokémon within 50 meters of the target, and spawn anything further than 70 meters away. Spamming the A button on a Nintendo Switch 2 or regular Switch will do and can be done with the turbo controller.
The teleportation animation doesn't waste time/calories, meaning the clock only ticks when you walk around to see what Pokémon are there.
How to Shiny Hunt in Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Dimension DLC – Spawn and Despawn
For those who prefer to explore the area for shiny Pokémon, a good method is to simply save the game when entering the new Hyperspace Lumiose area and then walk around looking for shinies. IN Pokemon Legends: ZAwild pokemon will appear within 50 meters of you and disappear when you are 70 or more meters away, meaning you can explore the entire area and if no shinies appear, you can close and restart the game and then repeat the process.
How to Shiny Hunt in Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Dimension DLC – Sparkling Power
It's not clear at this stage exactly what triggers it, but Pokemon Legends: ZA's Hoopa can get extra punch on their donuts if they're super sweet and hit a certain calorie threshold, as popular Austin content creator John Plays suggests. However, when this happens, the effects are essentially the same as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's shiny sandwich, which makes a certain type of Pokemon more likely to be shiny. Since hyperspace areas already tell you what type and species of Pokemon they will include, using a Sparkling Power donut of the same type is very effective and gives you a lot of power over which critters you can hunt.
How to Shiny Hunt in Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Dimension DLC – Catch the shiny quest
As a rare Hyperspace Lumiose quest, you'll be able to find one that says “Catch a shiny Pokemon 0/1”, meaning in this case it was forced shiny and you just have to find it. This is guaranteed to be shiny among the species available in the area, similar to Pokemon Legends: ZA's glossy Mareep.
