The reach of the gaming industry has gradually expanded, with more and more popular titles appearing in other media forms. In particular, some of the biggest and most memorable franchises of recent years are being adapted for television audiences.
With more TV shows comes more competition, as some beloved series have begun to compete with each other for viewers' affections. So we wanted to find out from the Ranters who they thought was the king of broadcast TV — and they decided.

TV adaptation of the very popular Bethesda Fallout the series was declared the winner by an overwhelming margin, defeating those led by Pedro Pascal the last of us and several other very notable by-products.

With more than half of all votes Fallout takes the crown of our readers' favorite TV adaptation of a video game. Since its release in 2024, the show has taken the world by storm, and many fans are coming back for a second season with continued revelations.
Coming in second place is The last of usstarring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay. While the series has been talked about and criticized, the original game has historically been hailed as one of the strongest gaming stories in recent memory, something that has largely carried over to television.
Interestingly, “none of them” finished in third place with a fairly significant share of the total votes. This is of course open to interpretation, but could include other recent modifications such as Arcana, Secret leveland Devil May Cry.
Rounding out the remaining options was a solid race between three iconic franchises, some of which have historically been loyal to their own major console brand. The edge of the competition is previously only Xbox Halofollowed by PlayStation Twisted Metalthen joints, from Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. While they didn't seem to make a significant impact on the GR audience, compared to the best options, they can certainly count on the unwavering loyalty of their rock fans.
