It's time to welcome not 1, but 2 new Straw Hats to the Elbaf arc

This article contains spoilers from the One Piece series.

One piece is currently in the final saga, and fans know very well that this part of the story is where the biggest battles will finally take place. Consequently, this means that straw pirates will have to be more prepared than ever before for bigger threats. Currently, some members of the Straw Hat Pirates are already strong enough to face powerful threats. Of course they include Luffy, Zoro and Sanji.

Zoro will no longer be the second strongest once this character joins the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece.

However, some other members are still weak and this lowers the overall strength level of the Straw Pirates. fortunately One piece fans also know that there will be new additions to the crew in the Final Saga and that they will be powerful. Recently, Oda has been teasing Loki joining the Straw Hat Pirates and he would be a welcome addition to the group. But, what most fans don't realize is that in the Elbaf arc, fans will see not just one, but two new Straw Hatsand that is very exciting.

The Straw Hat Crew isn't complete yet

The straw hat crew is not complete yet, one piece

  • Luffy wanted at least 10 crew members

  • More Straw Hats appear in the final saga

The Straw Hat Pirates are incredibly powerful right now. Led by Monkey D. Luffy, the Straw Hats currently consist of Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Nico Robin, Franky, and of course Brook. Jinbe joins them in the New World, and more additions will be made to the crew. While some fans argue that the straw pirates are already complete, the fact is that Oda himself prepared for 10 members under Luffy when he started this journey. Luffy also said that not counting myself, there are at least 10 people on the crew that he would like.

The phrase “at least” is incredibly important here. While there will be at least 10 members under Luffy, there could be even more, and that's what makes the final saga as exciting as it is. However, one thing that fans can say for sure is that the Straw Hat crew is far from complete and that more members will join at some point, possibly even in the Elbaf arc.

First, I need to get my own crew. I think at least 10 members should be good. And I'm going to need a pirate flag too. Look out world, I'm here! I am Monkey D. Luffy and I am the man who will be king of the pirates! — Monkey D. Luffy after seeing his path in One Piece.

As things stand, the first member to join the Final Saga will be Loki. The Cursed Prince of Elbaf was properly introduced to fans in the Elbaf arc of the series and has already impressed many with his incredible character writing as well as his immense power.

The last two straw hats will be Loki and Ragnir

  • Ragnir has tremendous abilities

  • The Straw Hats get another pet

Loki as a straw hat shouldn't come as a surprise to any fan. For starters, Loki is unwanted in Elbaf. The whole country hates him and at the same time the fans also know very well that Luffy quite enjoys his presence. Even though all of Elbaf had bad things about Loki, Luffy still trusted him easily and even spent time with him carefree in the underworld.

Most importantly though, Luffy even saw that Loki had a kind heart. Luffy's Observation Haki helps him convey the true nature of people much better than some others. Rayleigh clearly mentioned this in One piece Chapter 895 that Luffy is especially attuned to people's true emotions. At the same time, the fans know it very well Luffy invited Loki to join the crew before the Elbaf flashback began.

I am the Sun God enshrined in the legends of this land. You won't talk to me without permission, man. I consider myself the strongest living in the Lands. This is Warland, Elbaf's kingdom of violence. The most powerful nation in the world that once lived and breathed warfare. And I am the Sun God who brings the world to an end, Loki! — Loki introduces himself in the Arc of Elbaf.

As such, there is already a basis for Loki joining the Straw Hat Pirates. Of course, one cannot absolutely forget that Loki turned down Luffy's offer to join the Straw Hat Pirates. However, this means little as Loki was unaware of the fact that Luffy is Nika. Loki wants to follow the Sun god, and once the arc ends, he could easily change his mind and follow Luffy. Loki will be the first Straw Hat in the Final Saga.

The Straw Hat Pirates are strong and the new member has the legendary Devil Fruit in One Piece.

While Loki is the first Straw Hat in the final segment of the story, fans may be confused as to who will be the second. The answer is none other than Ragnir. Until now, Ragnir has only been seen as Loki's trusted weapon of war. Now, in One Piece chapter 1170, it was confirmed that Ragnir is actually a hammer that ate a devil fruit and that he is fully animated.. Ragnir is even a fighter in his own right and can take on enemies stronger than Yonko Commanders and potentially even protect against the likes of Yonko and Admirals from the One Piece world, such is his power.

Based on all properties, Ragnir needs to be classified as his own straw hatthough he is Loki's ally and fights by his side. It's similar to how Karoo is always next to Vivi, but he's classified as his own straw hat. Adding Ragnir to the crew would give them a lot of power that they desperately need at this point, but also a fun animal that would serve a great purpose when it comes to lighthearted moments on the ship between the various islands.

Ragnir would serve as another straw hat mascot

Ragnir becoming the 11th Straw Hat under Luffy would be incredibly exciting in many ways. First, fans know that Ragnir has guarded the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf for many years, which means he must also have some connection to the Sun God Nika. Once Ragnir sees Nika, there could be an exciting dynamic between them.

more than that Oda could use Ragnir as a Straw Pirate mascot. Fans are well aware that Oda made Chopper the One Piece mascot, but with the addition of Ragnir, he could be even more. This would give the Straw Hat Pirates two mascots, both incredibly cute in different ways, and help One Piece sell more merchandise. This is something that Oda would definitely love and fans absolutely cannot wait to see Ragnir join the crew.

Ragnir's inclusion in the Straw Hats is likely to happen, but it may fall apart because at the end of the day, Loki could just choose to go his own way and not side with Luffy. Yet at this particular moment Loki and Ragnir are the two most likely Straw Hats to join Luffy at the end of this arc.
