There are six types of mushrooms Heartopia. Four of them have rare color “bizarre” variants that are non-edible collectibles. Here is a complete list of all mushrooms in Heartopia and where you can find them.

It is located around Onsen Mountain Lake. These are large mushrooms with flat gray caps that are easy to spot near rocky edges and water. They have three bizarre variants: yellow, pink and purple, which appear randomly at the same spawn points. |
It is used in high value cooking recipes. Excellent for growing gold, especially when cooking for grilled mushrooms. |

Penny Bun |
It grows all over the forest. These have a classic rounded brown cap and look like traditional mushrooms. Bizarre variants include red, purple and pink-yellow transition. They also tend to breed in the exact same places. |
It is used in more advanced dishes and hobby recipes. Reliable for daily harvesting. |

Black truffle |
Found on Forest Island as small clay mounds rather than visible mushrooms. They don't have any bizarre variants. |
Premium ingredient. Dishes made from truffles sell for high gold. Great for profitable cooking. |

Shiitake |
It is located around the Fishing Village square, usually near trees, markers, and walls. They have light beige caps. Bizarre versions include red, purple-grey and blue. |

Found in Windmill Flower Field. They are tiny, low-to-the-ground fungi that often hide in tall grass and “hug” objects such as fences and rocks. Bizarre variants are pink, blue and green. |

Matsutake |
Hidden in the Spirit of Oak Pine Forest. It grows in small white or tan clusters. It has no variants and is extremely rare. |
A rare ingredient for special cooking recipes and one of the hardest items to collect. |
As mentioned above, mushrooms respawn in the same location. Once you discover a cluster, you can return to that location daily to harvest it again.
