How to get more villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Players move to the island of Tom Nook alongside the villager Sisterly and Jock. As they help establish the town, Tom will give players escape pack plans to lay down, allowing them to invite other villagers to move. Players will basically be in charge of recruiting new villagers for the island. There are three ways to get the villagers inside Animal Crossing: New Horizons:
Place the plot and wait a day
When the home plot is not filled by the end of the day, a random villager automatically claims it when the day resets. Therefore, one of the ways to get a new villager New Horizons it is simply to place an escape plan and wait until the next day; the land will have an owner and a villager will move in the next morning.
Find a villager on Nook Island
When players have an open plot on their island, they will encounter villagers on Nook Islands. Players can fly to Nook Island by purchasing a Nook Miles ticket for 2,000 Nook Miles and giving it to Orville at the airport.
Once on the island, players should look for a campfire as the villagers will be hanging around the fire. Players can approach a villager, talk to them, and they will see a dialog that gives them the option to invite them to move to their island. If they don't want that villager to become a resident, then just ignore them or choose the second option. They can then continue to explore the Nook Islands and find their dream villager.
Invite a visitor to the campsite
After setting up camp on their island, a visitor sometimes comes to visit. Players can chat with them, and if they treat them nicely, they might even consider moving there. Players can do this by talking to a camper and expressing interest in staying after the campsite.
In addition, players can invite a villager to stay at the camp via amiibo or amiibo cards. To do this, they must go to Resident Service, communicate with Nook Stop and select Invite Camper. Players can have one guest at camp each day. The process to get an amiibo character to move is exactly the same as any other camper, but players must invite them back and talk to them for three days in a row to convince them to stay.
Alternatively, players can also visit a friend who has a villager in the process of moving and invite them to move to their island. If someone has recently moved, the villager can automatically join their island using the first method in this guide.
