This article contains spoilers for Fallout Season 2 to Episode 5.
Amazon Prime Fallout series has been a goldmine for fans of the franchise, and Season 2 delivers New Vegas cheering for the closure on the fate of the Mojave Desert that they've been missing. While Fallout The TV show primarily follows Lucy, Maximus and the Ghoul on their journeys through the wasteland, there are other characters that brought some of the most important pieces of lore, such as the fact that the Legion is in a civil war after Caesar's death, or the date of Mr. House's prediction of the end of the world in episode 2 of season 5. However, potentially the most significant episode of Vault 2 3 comes from the most significant drop of the new Vault season so far. Supervisor, Steph Harper.
WITH FalloutThe latest major release of the video game returns in 2018 with Fallout 76fans are eager to see where the franchise takes the players next. Bethesda's Todd Howard confirmed that Fallout The TV show is canon for the franchise and that the events of the Amazon Prime series will influence future entries like it Fallout 5. With that in mind, the revelation of Steph's true identity in Fallout Season 2 Episode 4 Could Set The Franchise To Go Somewhere It's Never Been Before Fallout 5.
Fallout 3 Remake News Made Me Revisit Interplay's Canceled Fallout 3 And It Still Feels Like Fallout's Biggest What-If
The rumored Fallout 3 remake gave me a great opportunity to dive deep into Interplay Van Buren's canceled project, the Fallout 3 that never was.
Why Steph's Canadian identity matters in Fallout Season 2
One of the biggest twists Fallout The 2nd season so far came at the end of the 4th episode. As the new warden of Vault 32, Steph's behavior towards her partner Chet has changed drastically since Season 1, with Chet raising Steph's son almost entirely on his own. During Steph's tense discussion with Vault 32 resident Woody, Chet takes the opportunity to do some snooping and finds Steph's pre-war ID in her drawer. This ID not only proves that she was born before the war, but that she was a natural born Canadian citizen before she came to the US and joined Vault-Tec.
Fallout 5 could take players to annexed Canada
Canada did not play a major role in this Fallout TV show or any of the main games to date, but she's quietly been a key player in the larger lore of the franchise. The US began the process of annexing Canada in 2059 to protect the natural resources it contained during the resource wars, bringing it fully under US control in 2072. With Canada in control, the US was able to establish Anchorage, Alaska as a key forward position for Canadian territory.
China's invasion of Alaska in 2066 precipitated the annexation of Canada by the US as the Sino-American War gathered momentum.
The Canadian setting would be the first series for Fallout
Despite Canada's importance to the Great War timeline and the dropping of bombs, this location has never appeared in any Fallout game or TV show. as such Fallout 5 taking place in Canada would be a major first for the series, especially since the franchise has never ventured outside of its original US territory. However, with a key character like Vault 32's Steph Fallout A TV show with ties to Canada may be set for another video game entry to finally bring the territory into the fold.
The most likely Canadian setting for Fallout 5
-
Ontario
-
British Columbia/Yukon Territory
Although Canada is geographically larger than the US, there are really only two locations that would make sense Fallout settings. The first would be Ontario, around the Great Lakes Wasteland, as Toronto is Canada's largest city and would probably have the most interesting environmental features between the city and nearby Lakes Ontario, Erie and Niagra Falls. The larger Great Lakes Wasteland could even represent the Canadian capital of Ottawa, which would be a strategic location for an invading American force to take over during annexation.
Another potential setting would be on the western side of Canada, which could include both British Columbia and the Yukon Territory. Vancouver is Canada's other major city, and the Yukon Territory connects British Columbia to Alaska, making the area a hotbed of destruction caused by FalloutSino-American War. No matter where in Canada and Fallout As the game unfolds, Bethesda will have the opportunity to create a much more lush, snowy forest environment that hasn't actually appeared on any of the franchise's main maps.
