Battlefield 6 Leak Reveals New Maps, Weapons, and Vehicles for Season 2
As noted by Redditor ZamnBoii, a Battlefield 6 the leak shows off some Season 2 content coming to the game. The season was originally supposed to start around January 20th, but EA delayed it Battlefield 6 Season 2 to February 17, citing the need for additional development time in light of community feedback. While it's unclear exactly what these adjustments will mean, fans now have a better idea of what to expect from Season 2's core content, especially its maps. The leaked footage focuses on the first new area coming to the game, Hagental Airbase, a seemingly traffic-heavy location centered around the airfield, its adjacent hangars, and what appears to be a nearby forest.
The cinematic doesn't showcase the second map, but the official one Battlefield accounts recently confirmed that a map called Contaminated will also make it to Season 2. Considering how Battlefield 6 Season 1 brought two new maps and one map variation to the game, Contaminated and Hagental Airbase are probably the only brand new maps coming, but there could also be minor updates in store. Going back to the leak, it's hard to gauge how big Hagental Airbase is from the trailer, but it's probably on the larger side given how prominent tanks, helicopters, and other vehicles are in the film.
Looking beyond the new locations, the latest leak says that fans can look forward to a small helicopter and motorcycles being added to the game's second season. That's what earlier leaks claimed Battlefield 6 Season 2 would feature the AH-6 Little Bird helicopter, which some players have taken a liking to in pre-launch testing, so it looks like Little Bird could make its full game debut on Hagental. Details about the bike are unclear at this point, but it's likely to be similar to the quad bike already in the game, maybe a bit faster. Three new weapons, namely the MSBS Grot, VHS-2 and MG5 are also said to be on the way in Season 2.
Many are hoping for different map shapes, new features like naval combat, and new game modes Battlefield 6but it's not yet clear if or when any of that will arrive. Season 2 will likely follow the tiered approach to releasing new content like Season 1, so there's probably more in store than players know right now.
