Marvel Rivals just hit the goldmine Overwatch could have entered 10 years ago

Marvel Rivals it may feature most of the brand's most popular characters – it recently ticked a big box by making Deadpool playable – but it also has its share of deep cuts. Featured solutions include using Lin Lei Iron Fist instead of Danny Rand and turning Jeff The Land Shark into a healer, with the adorable animal becoming infinitely more popular thanks to the NetEase game. However, while Jeff may be a mascot Marvel Rivals his cuteness makes it increasingly clear that Luna Snow is a studio favorite. It proves this through an interesting collaboration for Luna Snow's eighth anniversary, and it's an idea Blizzard should have had years ago.

In addition to Luna Snow getting another legendary costume and Deadpool recently breaking the fourth wall to confirm that he is a NetEase favorite, on February 13th, a space track for the hero is shared on digital platforms. And instead of hiring an unknown singer to record the track, NetEase is working with famous (and aptly named) K-pop artist LUNA. This should ensure that the song titled 'Fight Mode' is catchy and fun, and the quality of the track should help justify Luna Snow's popularity in the universe. It's a wonderful way to embrace the story of a character whose popularity is on the rise, and with how excited fans are to hear all of Luna Snow's music, it's really strange to think how nothing comparable has happened. OverwatchIt's Lucio.

'Fight Mode' will likely play on the added dance floor Marvel RivalsSocial Center in New York.

Lucio from Overwatch deserves music just like Luna Snow

Marvel Rivals“Luna Snow isn't the first example of a video game being clever with music. For example, excellent and underrated Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy featured a space band called Star-Lord, from which Peter Quill got his hero's name. The band's really solid rock music helped give the game its own identity and helped differentiate its version of the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy more. A game with a character who is a prominent musician should then be an obvious opportunity for some special music to promote said game and make the character in question more interesting. and now Marvel Rivals after more than a year he pulled the trigger on Luna's potential.

This rapid progression only causes a lack of music OverwatchLucio is even stranger. Like Luna Snow, plenty of heroes talk to the Brazilian icon about his music, with some heroes like D.Va being canonically huge fans of the character's concerts. As gamers, it would be great to hear why Lucio's music is so popular; in just a few weeks, we'll hear why Deadpool is Luna Snow's tent, and simply put, it's really fun. Lucio has been here ever since Overwatch launched in 2016, and that's a big time when some EDM tracks for DJs could be created. WITH Overwatch has been around for more than a decade, it remains strange that a song created by Lucio has yet to be released. Maybe Jonny Cruz, Lucio's actor, is not open to playing music for his character. But even if that was the case, Blizzard could do what NetEase is doing now and hire a musician to “play” the character.

It's never too late for Overwatch to give Lucio his voice

Fortunately, with Overwatch 2 we're gearing up for season 21 and there's no sign of support ending anytime soon, there's always room to make that wish come true. Similar to animated shorts, this is really just a form of advertising and rewarding the community, and probably won't make the game more popular unless the track goes viral. Still, it's a fun bit of world building that makes the characters feel more fleshed out, and would be a nice special attraction to make the season stand out a bit.

Given the Lucio-OHs cereal that was briefly available in stores when Overwatch reached the peak of popularity, the character of AoE support is clearly marketable and recognizable. If his music has made him popular enough to justify making food with his name on it, players have actually heard some of it a long time ago. And while Lucio may not be a Blizzard favorite like Luna is NetEase – Kiriko has seemingly become Overwatch brand mascot — the two greatest heroic shooters are undoubtedly watching out for each other. As such, maybe when Luna Snow gets an official song, Blizzard will finally make Lucio shine. With some memorable music for Overwatch that have been released over the years (the Midtown map theme is really cool), it's easy to imagine some of Lucia's tracks being less than great.
