Escape from Tarkov was a hit with fans back in its first closed beta in 2017, with Battlestate Games' extraction shooter gaining popularity on streaming platforms for its engaging gameplay loop. Tarkov it spent more than a decade in development, receiving consistent updates before finally seeing its long-awaited full release in late 2025. Throughout history, one of the biggest public faces of the game has been the man who founded Battlestate Games.

Buyanov is currently COO for Escape from Tarkov studio Battlestate Games, which first founded the company to begin development on the game in 2012. Buyanov also plays a hands-on role in the shooter's development and is listed as the game director for Escape from Tarkov and composed much of the game's soundtrack himself. Now, despite Escape from Tarkov Fully launched at the end of 2025, Buyanov is already giving fans a glimpse of his next big game.

Nikita Buyanov has officially given fans a first look at Escape from Tarkov another developer game, showing off COR3a disturbing assumption. The short trailer follows a soldier in what appears to be the ruined ruins of a city, slowly zooming out to reveal a massive, technologically advanced civilization on Mars. The planet's orbit is littered with devastated spaceships and the floating bodies of astronauts, with the one surviving space station likely to be used for reconnaissance to investigate the aftermath of an unknown disaster. The reveal of the game also came with an interactive website that reveals more details about the concept behind it COR3.
What do we know about COR3?
COR3The game's official website states that the game takes place a little more than two centuries in the future, set in the year 2251. The premise is about a group known as The Core, who have “turned their back on mutual total destruction” and now focus on reviving human civilization and “uniting the world's governments”. The website has several different interactive elements for fans to look at, encourages fans to sign up with their email address, and offers access to many different stories about the new game from Escape from Tarkov studio. COR3 it looks like a sci-fi adventure focused on humanity on the brink of self-destruction. The trailer does not threaten the gameplay of the new shooter and shows little detail beyond the post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting. The start of the trailer gives a very brief snippet of what appears to be the game's first-person perspective, suggesting that COR3 will debut as a new FPS from Battlestate Games. However, the trailer gives some minor details about the specifics of its setting, with the suits that the floating bodies wear boasting the red star insignia commonly used in Russia.
Battlestate Games has a lot on the horizon
COR3's revelation comes as a full release Escape from Tarkov has already brought some big news for fans of the game. Battlestate Games has confirmed that the shooter will soon welcome its first official crossover, teaming up with the parody game Escape from Dučkov for mutual cooperation. The developer also unveiled major plans for 2026, with everything from several new maps to some major new mechanics in pre-existing locations, such as shooting door locks. Battlestate Games seems to be headed for bigger and better things, both with Escape from Tarkov and newly discovered COR3.
