Bear Hug
Playing your next game of Fortnite with a friend and want to show the lobby that you're close? Maybe you're trying to show a little adoration to a significant other before you're pitted against each other and have to fight to the death? Or maybe you did something sweaty and want to apologize for it?
Every Fortnite game mode, rated
Fortnite is more than just your average FPS. Here are all the game modes you can try, ranked by which one is the best.
The Bear Hug emote is one of the cheapest emotes in the entire game, and it's also quite friendly. The unusual emote for just 200 V-Bucks can rarely be beat.

Real Slim Shady
The very first music emote on our list of the most popular Fortnite emotes of all time comes from a musician whose fame has spanned decades, with rapper Eminem gaining quite a bit of success in the Fortnite store during the OG season.
The Real Slim Shady emotus was just one of four that made it into the Eminem set, with the Mask Up and Rap Monster emotes for posing and the Lil' Shady Mobile for even faster traversal paired in the set along with four skins, three picks and five gliders. A lot of other Fortnite players may have skins and accessories, but if they don't also have this emote, you'll be the only one standing up.

There are only so many ways you can really interact with your teammates in team games in Fortnite, but if you're playing solo and need to deliver a very sarcastic sense of praise to someone on the battlefield, then the Slow Clap Fortnite emote, number 23 on the list of most popular Fortnite emotes of all time, is for you.
Not only is it one of the oldest emotes in Fortnite, coming out in late 2017 when the game really started to gain popularity, but it also makes a fairly frequent return through the trade. Epic is ready to give you a sarcastic applause no matter when you started playing.

My world
If you were a fan of Ayo and Teo's wildly popular “Rolex” song, then you probably ended up buying the Ayo and Teo bundle when it hit the Fortnite Shop in July 2021. The bundled bundle came not only with a cool pickaxe stick, but also with a whopping three emotes for one low price, which is where a lot of us have my world.

This Fortnite dance emote will have you and your group “shaking your feathers,” as the Fortnite Shop describes it, while you wait for the next round of team play to play and jam seamlessly to the beat.

“BOP” by DaBaby |
This is the first time a song from rapper DaBaby has appeared on our list of the most popular Fortnite emotes of all time, but it certainly won't be the last. The Go Mufasa Emotus has only been in the store a few times since it was introduced in November 2020, but it's a fun dancing emote worth picking up.
But Go Mufasa's emote comes from the music video version of Mufasa's song “BOP on Broadway,” and even if you end up playing with the in-game sound muted, we bet you'll hear the spirited instrumental of that song and see the music video every time you see your character's fists in the air.

“Domino” by Jessie J |
If you're knocking down other units like they're dominoes in Fortnite, then we bet you'd look cool doing this fun dance emote on them with the Dancin' Domino emote, which is the 20th most popular Fortnite emote of all time at the time we publish this list. It's also been in the Fortnite Shop about two dozen times since its release, so it's fairly rare.
The song that plays when you use this emote, “Domino” by Jessie J from 2011, is actually sped up enough to make dancing a little easier and more impressive when you have your avatar do this dance emote for Fortnite.

I am a Mystery
If you participated in the paid battle pass at the very beginning of the fifth chapter for Fortnite at the end of 2023, you probably remember this emotion quite fondly. It was one of the first rewards you got for the Season Pass when unlocking The Underground.
Fortnite: 14 best collaborations
From Deku to Ariana, here are the best collaborations in Fortnite!
This popular Fortnite emote came with a fun new skin for Hope, who had plenty of unique styles to wear while showing off who she is to everyone on the battlefield. The Underground Battle Pass also offered the ability to unlock three sprays, two skins for your weapons, a music track, and a full set with a pickaxe, backpack, and glider.

Stable
Another emote that comes from the previous season of Fortnite and its progressive Battle Pass system, the Steady emote is a dance emote from the Icon Series that is unlocked on the seventh page of the Season Pass, making it a relatively rarer find.
It's set to the song “Own Brand Freestyle” by FelixThe1st and has a good flow to it, so you'll be sure to get other players to join you in front of the wheel in any public emote hall if you end up equipping and using one of the most popular emotes ever added to Fornite.
17
Toosie Slide
Public opinion of Drake has changed a lot since the Toosie Slide emote debuted in May 2020, but we can't blame you if you've also caught one of Fortnite's most popular emotes of all time. This is a dance emote from Fortnite's impressive list of Icon Series emotes, and it will have you and your friends gliding around all public lobby waiting rooms.
While it's available in the Fortnite store, it's not that common that it appears every day as one of the few emotes available for sale. We're not sure when he'll be back, but if you're still a Drake fan, it's a good idea to save up some V-Bucks and catch him when he does.

Hassle
“Do it right, do it left, do it right, do it left, do it -” we bet you'll be singing the song playing for the rest of the day after pressing The Squabble button in Fortnite, just like it happened to us every time someone uses this popular Fortnite emoticon in our lobbies.

Fish, neon puppies and… a banana dog?
If you want to become the leader of the hall dance while you wait for a new game to start, your character will skillfully follow the moves mentioned in the song and match it with a fun arm roll while stomping the corresponding foot. No matter what skin tone you have when you use it, they always look like they really feel that dancing feeling.
