If you've ever watched an episode of Breaking Bad, you've almost certainly seen the house that the White family lives in. Several episodes did not feature it; the building became a pop culture icon, and when it went up for sale, bidders lined up to own a piece of primetime television history.
By the way, the winning bid belonged to one Adin Ross, a controversial Twitch and Kick streamer who said things, did things, and uh, yeah. He's definitely human. A man with millions and millions of subscribers, remember; naturally, once Ross claimed his victory, the internet began to buzz as the world realized that a familiar face was about to own a similarly familiar venue.
He won't do it dirty
Today, you can go anywhere and see large posts sharing the news, usually including the video you'll see in the Reddit thread above this sentence. Much praise. Lots of hype. No small amount of vitriol either. Ross, as I mentioned before, yes he said some things. Rather than give everyone a link to one of the louder reports, I took some zr/Albuquerque to see how some of the locals feel about the trade going through.
But that's the point. I'm not going to say “credit where credit is due” because that sounds weird, but if you watch the Adin Ross clip? He seems well aware of the importance of maintaining a place. “I want that property taken care of bro,” Ross explains. “That's the greatest feature ever. I have a feeling it is maybe I'm overselling it a bit, but I have a degree in cultural anthropology, so what do I know.
“I'm already in talks with a few people who were on Breaking Bad and I want to pass ownership of that property to all the actors as well.” -Adin Ross
As you can see, Ross wants the Breaking Bad cast to share the love, which is — hey, that's cool. He also lists his family, friends, and other streamers as likely meeting opportunities. It's his house, of course, so it's fair game. I just hope all those streamers are as eager to keep the plot in order as Ross obviously is.
Square clearly wants FF7 Rebirth to continue selling, as it just got a permanent discount
“I'm cheaper, Cloud…”
