Yuji Itadori dies after 300 years in JJK Modulo

Yuji is slowly aging

Yuji Itadori Die 300 Years JJK Modulo

When JJK Modulo It started, it was made clear to fans in just a few chapters that Yuji Itadori was still alive. Eventually, in the second volume, Yuji was brought back into the fold and Nobara went on to confirm that his body had stopped aging completely. Yuji was completely distraught when he saw all his friends die one by one, which is why he ended up isolating himself from Japanese society. Yuji was the strongest at one point, but disappeared completely, eventually creating a massive shift in Wizard's society.

After the conflict between humans and Simurians broke out, Yuji Itadori returned to Tokyo, and at this point it was very clear that his body was truly ageless, and Nobara's words carried a lot of weight. Most fans assumed that Yuji Itadori was immortal, but it seems that is no longer the case.

I'll do it anyway. I will carry that burden myself. — Yuji Itadori

It seems that Yuji still ages, but at a tremendously slower rate than everyone else. The main reason Yuji ages like this is due to the special circumstances surrounding his birth and consumption of the Deathly Hallows. Yuji was born to Kenjaku as the perfect vessel for Ryomen Sukuna. This alone made Yuji's body superhuman. Yuji was much stronger and athletic than the others, and his vitality was off the charts, comparable to Heavenly Restricted individuals. Quite clearly Yuji's birth affected the way he progressed, but more than that, Yuji ended up eating Death Paintings 4 through 9 before the Shinjuku Showdown began. This gave his blood poisonous properties and gave him access to blood manipulation.

Just as the Death Paintings have remained alive for over a century, Yuji Itadori probably has the same power now, which is why most believe he is immortal. However, in JJK Modulo Chapter 22, Yuji Itadori further confirmed that he will live for another 300 years. That said, technically Yuji isn't immortal; instead, it just progresses remarkably more slowly and dies after a few centuries. As Yuji and Maru remove the cursed energy from all over Japan, Yuji intends to watch over everyone and bear any burden of this huge sin he is about to commit.

A special scenario for Yuji's death

While Yuji Itadori has already managed to stay alive for another 300 years, bringing his total age closer to 400, there is still a strange scenario in which he dies. This special scenario is the complete removal of cursed energy from all of Japan.

In the present, Yuji and Maru intend to remove the cursed energy from the next generation. As such, all non-wizards in Japan, including the next generation of Simurians, will not have access to the cursed energy. All Simurans who currently have cursed energy, as well as all human wizards, retain their cursed energy. In this case, Yuji will still have access to his abilities, meaning he will live for another 3 centuries.

However, if for some reason Maru and Yuji decide that removing the cursed energy from all beings is important, it would strip Yuji of all his abilities. In other words, Yuji would then not have his special powers and would immediately die a normal death.

Still, at this point, the chance of that happening is very low, as it stands, Yuji intends to watch over Japan for centuries to come and take whatever punishment the heavens give him for removing the cursed energy. So Yuji eventually evolves and starts to look more like Tengen, and it's a great ending for his overall character.

JJK Modulo will continue with Chapter 23 on February 22, 2026.
