August 2026 LEGO Sonic Sets Detailed in New Leak

LEGO is reportedly launching several new kits based on Sonic the Hedgehog in August 2026. That's according to a recent report from a well-known LEGO leaker that outlines some specific details about the upcoming products.

The LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog theme has been available since August 2023. Since then, 23 sets have been released, along with a so-called “Influencer Kit”, which was not sold at retail but distributed to select content creators to promote the set's launch. Three smaller sets were released in 2026: two in January and one in February.

According to a new report from lego_minecraft_goat, at least two more LEGO Sonic sets are set to be released in the summer of 2026. In an Instagram post dated February 23, a well-known LEGO leaker identified two unannounced Sonic the Hedgehog the kits are said to be aiming for an August launch. One is identified by kit number 77119 and described as a replica of the Tornado-1 aircraft operated by Miles “Tails” Prower. It will reportedly retail for $29.99. The other, the 77120, is said to be priced at $49.99, but no further details were provided by the source.

The prospect of a Tornado-1 in 2026 seems rather unusual, given that one such model has already been released in its short history. Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO Theme: 76991 Tails' Workshop and Tornado Plane debuted in August 2023. The 376-piece set, designed for ages six and up, remained in production for 15 months before being officially retired in November 2024.

76991 Tails' Workshop and Tornado Plane retailed for $39.99, suggesting that the upcoming 77119 set might have a lower number of pieces given its $10 lower price. Meanwhile, the $49.99 price tag of the 77120 set suggests a pack in the 400-500 range. Although LEGO recently launched its Smart Play initiative, there is no indication that either of the aforementioned Sonic sets will include Smart Brick support, which has been limited to a select few themes so far.

Taking the rumored August release window at face value, sets 77119 and 77120 may not be announced until July 2026. However, many Sonic the Hedgehog products have been formally revealed months before their release, allowing plenty of time for pre-orders. As of late February 2026, LEGO continues to sell more than half a dozen Sonic sets, along with ancillary merchandise such as minifigure keychains.
