I've broken down the best Triage cores into different stages of the game the Prestige Samaritan core isn't something you'll have at the start of the game.

Instead, I opted for High voltage as a starting core as it relies on Triage's volt damage. I find it works wonderfully if it does early volt weapon, activate Triage's battery charge to EMP enemies, then stack this bonus against NPCs or enemy players. It will help you clear larger groups of NPCs quickly.

For the secondary core, if you're lucky enough to find a second Triage-specific core, go for it Ounces of Prevention. Alternatively, if you stick with standard cores, Trophy Hunter is a great choice.
