Version 6.5 brings the focus back to Lunar Reactions Genshin Impactas the game is set to introduce its second fae character in Linnea. While players will only encounter her in the upcoming update, Linnea has been teased throughout Nod-Krai through voice lines, character anecdotes, and throwaway lines.
In game terms, Linnea is meant to be Lauma for Lunar-Crystallize: a premium boost that boosts Lunar Reaction for any compatible hypercarry. In the case of Linnea, a hypercarry Zibai in may be ideal Genshin Impactbut beta testing has shown Linne's synergy with older Geo characters like Navia, making Augur of Wonders a valuable addition to the bill.

He revealed the character of Linnaeus Genshin Impact via social media in anticipation of version 6.5. Described as an advisor to the Adventurer's Guild, Linnea is only the third playable character to have direct affiliation with the organization, following the introduction of Bennett and Fischl in version 1.0. As a 5-star Geo character from Nod-Krai, having Linnea on your team enables Lunar-Crystallize, one of the three Lunar Reactions introduced in the new area. However, Linnea also provides group healing, elemental shred, off-field Geo damage, as well as buffs to Elemental Mastery and Lunar-Crystallize damage. This makes her a well-rounded supporting character Genshin Impact.
Similar to Flins in Genshin ImpactLinnea is the Snowland Fae, a race of immortal beings created by the artisans of Hyperborea. Once led by the first Cryo Archon, today's fae have scattered across Snezhnaya, but a few have also found a home in Nod-Krai. While Flins hides his identity and has a polite, gentlemanly demeanor, Linnea is his opposite. He has a bright, sober personality and an explorer's heart.
Linnea in Genshin Impact will first appear in version 6.5 via its Story Quest, but is otherwise expected to be playable in the first half of the upcoming update. Unlike 6.4, the new patch will feature a map expansion that will allow players to either stock up on Primogems for 6.6 or spend them on Linne's debut banner. Players will be able to see an official preview of the game during the next special program announcement, which is scheduled to launch on March 27, 2026.
According to the ongoing beta, event banners are for version 6.5 Genshin Impact Linnea, Lauma, Chasca and Nefer will perform. While no 4-stars have been confirmed yet, there is a strong possibility that Illuga will run alongside Linnea due to his supporting role as a Lunar-Crystallize buffer. Additionally, version 6.5 will provide players with a free copy of Strawberry to plug into its flagship. Community feedback on Linnea has been overwhelmingly positive so far, for the most part Genshin Impact players finding her to be the Geo equivalent of Escoffier. Unlike Escoffier, Linnea has no specific team restrictions, but naturally gravitates towards having at least one Geo and Hydro teammate.
For players who are not interested in playing Lunar Reaction teams Genshin Impactor if they don't like the geo game in general, Linnea is an easy character to skip. Leaks strongly suggest that 6.6 will release Lohen and Nicole, both Hexerei characters, with the latter expected to be Varka's best support. So it is very likely that Linnea will be the last Lunar Reaction character in the Nod-Krai patch cycle. Genshin Impact pave the road to Sněžnaj. Version 6.5 is scheduled to launch on April 8, 2026.
