Call of Duty: Warzone players want one major feature to fix Black Ops Royale

The Call of Duty: Warzone community is calling on developer Raven Software to make a major change to the new Black Ops Royale game mode.

Warzone's March 13 update adds a win tracker

Shortly after the last seasonal content drop, Raven launched another one Call of Duty: Warzone March 13 patch. As is common with such follow-up updates, the new release is much narrower in scope and primarily focused on fixing technical issues that were introduced or exacerbated by the previous update. So the patch only includes one quality of life addition, which comes in the form of the Win Streak progress tracker that is now available in Black Ops Royale.

The March 13 patch also fixes four issues related to tracking, reviving, vehicles, and armor behavior. According to the official patch notes, the fixes include a flashing red health indicator when tracking a teammate who has used a Trauma Kit, missing HUD elements after a wingsuit revive, the rear seat ejecting associated with the Polaris “Climb to Roof” feature, and Reactive Armor's inability to regenerate armor after a revive.

WITH WarzoneThe Black Ops Royale mode is the highlight of the novelty Call of Duty In the season, the Raven developers will likely focus on improving the overall experience for some time. Black Ops Royale differs from the game's classic playlist by shifting much more of the match flow into the round itself. Instead of focusing early decisions on cash flow, loadout timing, and access to the Buy Station, the mode emphasizes loot, weapon rarity upgrades, consumable perks, and movement tools like wall jumps and wingsuits.

This broader structure also changes the way Warzone deals with survival and recovery. Players start Black Ops Royale with 150 base health and 150 armor, while systems like the Trauma Kit, Armor Vests, Redeploy Tokens, and Redeploy Towers aim to expand encounters and give squads more ways to stay in contention. The result is a playlist that places less emphasis on the usual economic loop and more on how teams gradually gain strength through exploration and completing activities. Goals now play a bigger role in this process. Activities such as Surveillance Drones, Strongbox Crack, Relay Antennas, Supply Drops and Cradle Breaches serve as the main sources of rewards, while Cradle Zones can offer higher value loot and exotic weapons. All in all, these mechanics make Black Ops Royale feel less like a straightforward variant of standard Warzone and more like a parallel ruleset designed around a layered progression.

Outside of Black Ops Royale, Season 02 Reloaded also introduced several progressive hooks through limited-time content support and playlists. The Altitude Tactics event includes rewards such as the Voyak KT-3 Assault Rifle, while the Counter Skies Event Pass includes the Swordfish A1 Marksman Rifle and the Echo 12 Backlash Launcher. Raven also restored the perk pool in Battle Royale and Resurgence, replacing Alertness with Momentum, Bomb Squad with Berserker, and Tracker with Hunter, along with economic tweaks such as adding Advanced UAVs to Buy Stations for $40,000 and increasing Specialist to $35,000.
