
Legendary Halo Author William C. Dietz has died. The news of his death was recently confirmed by his family, leaving many people at home Halo a community mourning the loss of the writer behind one of the franchise's first books, Halo: The Flood.

On Sunday, March 15, the family of William C. Dietz confirmed in a social media post that the author had died. The family's statement highlighted Dietz's passion for writing. “Writing was as much a part of him as breathing,” the family said. They further pointed out that the theme of many of his books was “good overcoming evil” and noted that he hoped to provide his readers with an “escape” from the problems of the real world.
Since learning of William C. Dietz's passing, many have taken to social media to remember the iconic author and his work.
