The family's statement highlighted Dietz's passion for writing. “Writing was as much a part of him as breathing,” the family said. They further pointed out that the theme of many of his books was “good overcoming evil” and noted that he hoped to provide his readers with an “escape” from the problems of the real world.
Since learning of William C. Dietz's passing, many have taken to social media to remember the iconic author and his work.
