How to beat Thunder Tank in Crimson Desert

The Thunder Tank will arrive in the second part Crimson Desert when trying to build Marnie's transporter. You are tasked with clearing three fortresses and collecting three transporter keys, one of which is being defended by a Thunder Tank. This mechanical boss is no joke, with area attacks and a charge attack that wipes your health bar if you don't dodge it.

I was pretty frustrated with this boss, mainly because the “weak spot” mechanic is pretty clunky. If you manage to hit the weak point, it's a one-shot kill. I'll look at how to manage it below.

The process for this boss is actually pretty straight forward once you figure out the weak spot.

Stand near the Thunder Tank. The machine will periodically rise and then slam into the ground, with the area that will be damaged highlighted in red underneath.

If you position yourself close enough to the tank and successfully dodge this dash attack, this will happen never enter the second phase where you are in a hurry.

If you manage to stay close enough to the tank, you can keep her locked in place and attack her repeatedly to break her pole (that's the white bar under his health bar.) When you do this, you have to climb on top of the tank while it's stunned, and stab the green ball on top of the tank. It requires Back Hang skill that allows Kliff to stab/stab an enemy while climbing on top of them.

Cliff it must actually be “hanging” from a weak pointjust stand on top of it or the attack won't activate. Climb the front of the tank up the wooden side and then onto the green orb above. If Kliff is hanging, then use a stab attack to defeat the Tank.

But be careful. If you are attacked by a Tank during its slam, you will likely be pushed back. This activates a tank attack/quick attack at a certain distance. This deals a lot of damage and is hard to avoid, especially if you get stuck in a corner of the arena.

When you see the tank preparing for a quick attack – the edge of the tank will vibrate with some particles – just relax and run away. Tank attacks/charges a total of three times. After the third charge, you can return to the middle of the tank and continue dealing damage.

I took quite a bit of food into this fight just to try and take damage from the tank attack, but once I figured out the pattern the fight was pretty simple.
