On March 25, Nintendo released a new update for Captain Toad: Treasure Hunter. This new patch pushed the game to version 1.4.2 and focused on amiibo. Specifically, a small update added support for the Captain Toad & Talking Flower amiibo. It's worth noting that this update is for both the Switch and Switch 2 consoles and coincides with the release of the new Captain Toad figure. Actually, Captain Toad & Talking Flower are part of a trio Super Mario Bros. Wonder-themed amiibos. However, Captain Toad & Talking Flower seems to be the only one compatible with Captain Toad: Treasure Hunteraccording to the patch notes. By scanning this amiibo in-game on Switch or Switch 2, players can unlock in-game bonuses.
