Pokemon winds and waves will be the next main title in the series, and while there's only a trailer for the Gen 10 games, they've already broken a huge trend by coming out in 2027, between four and a half and five years after Gen 9. That's a big deal, because a big part of the monster collecting series is adding new Pokemon and ways to play the games, so it's interesting that the latest new players have been added Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in 2022. Sure, Pokemon Legends: ZA they added new Mega Evolutions but it's not the same as new Pokemon.
However, this isn't necessarily a bad thing for collectors, as it means that they either have more time to get all the existing Pokémon in one place, or they'll have an advantage when the new generation arrives, if not both. This is especially relevant now because Pokemon Legends: ZA first a Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen later, he began to account for a lot of missing Legendary and Mythical Pokemon with no way to get them natively on the Switch or Switch 2. As such, Pokemon winds and wavesA 2027 release means fans should have access to most of these Pokémon by then, and that's better than what Gen 8 and 9 did.
Pokemon Gen 10 Leaks Box Legendary Details
Details of what Pokemon has planned for the Gen 10 Legendary Monsters box art are surfacing online as part of a large amount of leaked information.
Every Legendary and Mythical Pokémon in Legends: ZA, FireRed and LeafGreen (and they can be shiny)
One could argue that Pokemon Sword and ShieldDynamax Adventure is the pinnacle of content in the series as it allows players to hunt down shiny legends as well as catch (pun intended) some of the rarest creatures in the series up to that point. And that's still largely true, but it's also something that happened pretty late in the games lifespan. Gen 9 did something similar with a few returning Legendaries in The Indigo Disk DLC, but it wasn't met with much fanfare because all of those Pokémon were shiny. Fortunately, Pokemon Legends: ZA and Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen they fix it and help even more.

The return of the legendary and mythical Pokémon in Switch Games
In addition Pokémon Ruby, Sapphireand Emerald on the Switch and Switch 2 are more a matter of when than if as they have been datamined as ports with a release FireRed and LeafGreen. This will most likely make other Pokemon like Registeel, Regice, and Regirock available. Jirachi could be added as well, though there's still a way to get him in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Pokemon next to Manaphy (and thus Phion).
Similarly, various games over the years have added the remaining missing Legendary and Mythicals to the Switch roster. For example, Pokemon Legends: Arceus players can get Arceus himself as well as collect all the Legends and Myths from Gen 4 as well as some others like the Weather Trio from Gen 5 with the addition of Enamorus. The remaining Legendary Gen 5 Pokémon are available in Scarlet and Violet, as well as Gen 7 Legendaries.
While some of the Pokemon are inside FireRed and LeafGreen's Pokedex have been made available before, specifically in Gen 9, the likely return of Mew and Celebi will make the Switch era awesome for collectors. Pokemon winds and waves. Even then, the next VGC ruleset isn't guaranteed to be native to Gen 10, and it could all play out instead Pokemon Champions. However it turns out, the Switch games have added most of the missing Pokémon from the franchise's past, and that will be a big plus when Gen 10 officially begins.
