With Marvel's numerous crossovers, it's no surprise that the vast majority of the brand's biggest characters can be found inside. Fortnite at this point. And now it looks like one of the few heavy hitters not yet in the game – Ultron – will be flying his way Fortnite's Iceland.
As the main villain of one of the Avengers movies, it's rather shocking that the wacky AI took this long to catch up to Epic Games' crossover-filled Battle Royale. Thanos and Loki, the latter Avengers movie villains are present after all. Created by (and eventually merged with) Hank Pym in the comics, Ultron's goal is to wipe out humanity, considering them harmful to the planet and feeling that intelligent machine life is the natural progression of things. A true threat not just because of his brilliance, but also because of his ability to back up via the internet and create an endless army of machine clones, Ultron is an Avengers-level threat that appears regularly and may never be completely eradicated.
Ultron's creator was changed to Tony Stark within the MCU because Hank Pym wasn't in the movies at the time.
Fortnite is adding special April Fools' Day content, but there's a big catch
Epic Games' Battle Royale hit is heading into April Fools' Day this year, but Fortnite fans won't have long to appreciate all the gags.
Ultron's debut in Fortnite seems to be set in stone…
When it comes down to it Fortnite leaks, the two most reputable sources tend to be HYPEX and ShiinaBR. And indeed, the latter is the source of this promising Ultron information, as it confirms a report from @SamLeakss about the imminent arrival of Ultron. Ultron's exact release date is not shared, meaning he could have come to the item store anytime in Season 2 Chapter 7 or later. However, the addition of Ultron seems likely given the existence of one upcoming MCU project: VisionQuest.

Coming to Disney+ sometime in 2026, VisionQuest will build on ongoing plot threads WandaVision and Agatha all the time focus on White Vision's journey to regain his memories. James Spader is confirmed to return as Ultron in this show, possibly through flashbacks or a hidden copy of his consciousness that The Avengers let slip. Regardless of how it happens, the return of Ultron is a big moment that will likely be hinted at through the medium VisionQuesttrailer. And given Disney and Epic Games' relationship, it's not out of the realm of possibility that the companies planned for Ultron's skin to be removed along with the (currently unknown) trailer release.
…But Ultron's Fortnite Design is a mystery
However, while Ultron's Fortnite debut seems almost set in stone thanks to this leak and the impending return of the MCU, which is sure to boost the character's popularity, what's less certain is the villain's design. His Age of Ultron the skin (both the default variant and the upgrade he gets before the final fight) would work well enough and be recognizable, sure, but he had a lot of other skins that could make great styles if not used as a default skin. Potential Ultron skin styles include:
-
Infinity Ultron (What if…?)
- Destruction Ultron
- Age of Ultron (gold comic version)
-
All-Father Ultron
- Heroes Reborn Ultron
For now though Ultron Fortnite skin certainly seems likely, fans shouldn't get their hopes up. Any leak may turn out to be incorrect as plans may change or sources may give the leaker wrong information. Still, there's no denying that Ultron would be a very cool skin, especially if he could double as a seasonal big bad like Doctor Doom did a few months ago.
