How to get the Pirate King Hat

The Pirate King's Hat can be found on the Singing Catfish pirate ship, which you can find floating in the ocean between the Steel Mountains and the Mount of Frozen Souls, located east of Reedwind Valley (where you fight the Reed Devil boss in Chapter 3).

From Reedwind Valley, jump off the cliff to the east and reach the banks below.
Look for a ship along the beach and climb it.
Press the “Operate” prompt when it appears to begin operating the ship.
Drive the ship through the mines to the east until you reach Singing catfish in the middle of the ocean.

Climb to the upper deck and defeat the pirate crew that will attack you.

How to use the Pirate King Hat

The pirate king's hat has “Uncover the Treasure” ability in Crimson desert. However, unlike items like the Marni Laser Helmet, which require activation, the Pirate King Hat ability is passive; does not require any button presses to operate.

The Pirate King Hat Detect Treasure ability works as follows. When a player equipped with the Pirate King's Hat approaches a valuable treasure the white feather on the brim of the hat begins to glow with a bright white light.

The Pirate King Hat's white light can be hard to spot in direct sunlight, so pay close attention when exploring during the day.

The Pirate King's Hat doesn't tell you exactly where the treasure is, just that you're near it. If you leave the immediate vicinity of the treasure, the glow will stop, but will return when you are near it again. This ability has a range of approx 10 meters.

The Pirate King's Hat only detects “treasure chests”, not unique items or other valuables that are located directly above ground.
