5 Shonen Anime Heroes Who Would Destroy The Boys' Homelander (And 5 Who Can't)

Homelander is the most dangerous and powerful Supe v Guys. Extremely strong, fast and durable, the Homelander is borderline unstoppable in his home universe. Guys he fought for five seasons to get the upper hand on him and was only able to defeat him by literally depowering him. At full power, Homelander is an absolute beast – but he's also overconfident, unskilled, and no match for the feats of shonen anime's strongest characters.

Homelander is at most strong enough to defeat shonen heroes who are mostly ordinary human beings. Even then, he will have to put in some serious work to achieve a real victory. The Homelander's strength is only staggering relative to how weak the average character is Guys. Compared to the most powerful shonen anime characters of all time, Homelander fares worse than the one he was in Guysseries finale.

Deku is a better superhero than Homelander ever was

Homelander would fight himself in bad company if he was ever transported to My Hero Academia universe. Average hero v MHA is much stronger than the average Supe v Guys. Quirks offer heroes greater abilities and skills than anything that comes from Vought.

The fact that Deku could defeat a Homelander would drive him absolutely wild. Even without using the full range of One For All, Deku would be able to defeat Homelander without too much trouble. Homelander is faster, but Deku is stronger and far more skilled. The Homelander's lasers can be a problem, but one good hit is all it takes to break Deku's body and subdue the Homelander.

Hamon doesn't save Jonathan Joestar from Homelander

Jonathan Joestar would lose to Homelander

The main character of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom BloodJonathan Joestar is one of only two JoJos to lose his final battle. Jonathan is a prodigy with Hamon and is immensely powerful in his own right, but he just can't keep up with the enemies' superpowers without going over the edge.

Even if he had Stand, Jonathan would be using Hermit Purple, which would do nothing against Homelander. Jonathan Joestar was killed by Dio Brando's eye lasers at the end Phantom bloodand Homelander is more than fast enough to fire his lasers at Jonathan's neck and hit him before he can dodge. Jerk and luck won't help Jonathan against Homelander.

Gear 5 Luffy mocks Homelander

To be clear, any version of Luffy would defeat Homelander, even Luffy at the beginning of the East Blue Saga. However, now that he's unlocked Gear 5, Luffy would have an absolute field day with the Homelander. Toon force hax Gear 5 would break Homelander's brain and tire him out in a humiliating duel that would surely leave him broken and crying.

Gear 5 Luffy is incredibly strong as it is, but he hasn't even realized the full extent of Gear 5's power – not that Homelander gives Luffy enough of a challenge to push him to his limits. In fact, Luffy would be able to level Homelander in seconds. Literally, if he really wanted to put Homelander in his place.

Homelander could stop Eren & The Rumbling

The Rumbling absolutely destroyed Attack on Titanworld. Eren wiped out roughly 80% of humanity by starting Rumbling. Not that Homelander was selfless enough to save the world, but if he wanted to, he could have stopped Rumbling with minimal casualties. The Homelander's raw strength, speed, lasers, and ability to fly make him essentially invincible against a Titan.

Eren wouldn't be able to do a single thing against Homelander in a fight. Homelander would take him out quickly. The real problem is that Homelander will likely be aboard the Rumbling. At worst, Homelander lets Rumbling play and then kills Eren himself when all is said and done.

Saitama takes out Homelander with one punch

Saitama from One-Punch Man can defeat any enemy with one hit (,man). By design alone, Homelander just can't beat Saitama. As a gag character, Saitama is basically unbeatable. The very concept of his existence relies on him being able to defeat even the strongest of opponents One-Punch Man.

Homelander would feel humiliated by how strong Saitama is. Nothing he could throw at him would do any harm. Homelander would piss off Saitama to the max, which would fry his brain just as bad as being knocked down by one punch. Saitama doesn't kill people, but he can make an exception for Homelander.

Baki Hanma is strong, but still only human

Homelander doesn't beat Yujiro, but Baki Hanma is a different matter altogether. Baki is powerful and is considered the “strongest boy on Earth”. He can perform borderline impossible feats that the average person would consider unthinkable. Baki Hanma is one of the most powerful fighters in his universe and would give Homelander a great fight.

Baki would be perfectly capable of hurting Homelander, which would hurt his pride greatly, but in the grand scheme of things, Homelander can beat him. Once the Homelander is airborne, Baki can't do anything and his lasers would be able to fatally injure him. If Homelander wanted to, he could fly Baki into space and leave him for dead.

Homelander can't even touch Sung Jinwoo

Based on his powers and abilities, Homelander would be A-Rank v Solo leveling universe, which would hurt his pride greatly. Any S-Rank would easily be able to destroy a Homelander, especially Sung Jinwoo. Sung Jinwoo wouldn't even need to use his Shadow Army to kill Homelander. He could subdue him in seconds.

Homelander wouldn't be able to hurt Sung Jinwoo, and running away wouldn't save him from being wiped out. Even if Sung Jinwoo held back, Homelander would be able to create a crater completely. Realistically, Homelander wouldn't even get a chance to fight Sung Jinwoo if he was in the game Solo leveling universe. Any of the national level hunters would destroy him on the spot.

Mr. Satan would fear Homelander

Mr. Satan is the strongest character in the Dragon Ball who cannot use Ki. It's pitifully weak compared to the Z-Fighters, but it's actually pretty strong to the average person. Unfortunately, Homelander would go to town on Hercules. Homelander's ability to fly and fire lasers makes him a real threat to Mr. Satan.

Satan would be absolutely terrified of Homelander and would probably try to appeal to his better nature. At best, Homelander spares Satan to become his lackey. At worst, Homelander will kill him in one hit. Of course, the moment he hurts Hercules, Majin Buu turns the Homelander into chocolate and eats him on the spot.

Goku doesn't even have to transform to kill Homelander

Even before training with Master Roshi, Kid Goku could defeat Homelander. Honestly, any Dragon Ball a character who can use Ki could kill a Homelander without too much trouble. As an adult, Goku wouldn't even need to turn Super Saiyan. A single flick of the finger would disable the Homelander on the spot.

At full power, Goku would make a complete fool of a Homelander. Homelander can't do anything to stop him. The moment Homelander punches Goku, his hand breaks on his chest and all his finger bones turn to dust. Goku's cheerful attitude would only infuriate the Homelander as he realizes that he is hopelessly outmatched.

Tanjiro can't cut through Homelander

Tanjiro is an incredible swordsman and master demon slayer, but his sword isn't quite the Homelander's chop. If anything, Homelander would shatter Tanjira's blade, leaving him completely helpless.

Homelander is virtually invulnerable to any weapon, leaving Tanjiro and Hashira powerless against him. Homelander is stronger, faster and much tougher than Tanjiro. If Tanjiro was able to hurt him, it would only make the Homelander kill him faster. A single fire from his lasers would be enough to fry Tanjiro where he stands and end the battle.
