Xbox Game Pass subscribers have nine new games to look forward to in May 2026. Xbox Game Pass has undergone some dramatic changes over the past year. At the end of 2025, Microsoft announced a significant increase in the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – a move that caused so many people to rush to cancel their subscriptions that it literally crashed the website.
Xbox's new CEO went back on raising the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, dropping it by $7 to $22.99. That came at a price Call of Duty it's an Xbox Game Pass game for a day, but subscribers can at least expect entries in the franchise to start using the service about a year after they first launch. As for new games coming in the more immediate future, there are at least nine games on board for Xbox Game Pass in May 2026.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers should note that the full lineup for May 2026 has yet to be announced, but the nine titles confirmed so far are pixelated remasters of the game. Final Fantasy 5 coming on may 5th Mixtape coming on may 7 Call of the Elder Gods falls on May 12, Forza Horizon 6 will be released on May 19, Beast launch on May 21st, Echo generation 2 will come on May 27 and Crashout Crew will be released on May 28. RV still there? and Subnautica 2An Early Access release is also coming out in May 2026, but specific dates have yet to be announced.
Of the nine games confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in May 2026, a whopping eight are brand new, released on day one. The headliner has to be Forza Horizon 6however, which is likely to be another critically acclaimed open-world racing game from developer Playground Games. Forza Horizon 6 takes place in Japan (something fans have been asking to see for years), and everything we've seen of it so far has looked incredibly impressive, so May alone should be a good month for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
As usual, on the day one Xbox Game Pass game will be exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, so those who signed up for the lower tiers shouldn't expect to be able to play most of the new games coming in May 2026. We know that Final Fantasy 5 it will be available on the premium level of Xbox Game Pass, so subscribers at least have something to look forward to.

Meanwhile, Xbox Game Pass subscribers still have some games to look forward to in April 2026. Aphelion is a sci-fi adventure game from developer Don't Nod that will join Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on April 28, with Trepang2 April 29th arrives and the month ends Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, Sledding gameand TerraTech Legion all will join the service on April 30.
