Saros players need to learn as soon as possible what to prioritize in each run

The difference between a good run and a bad run Saros it comes down to priorities, and the sooner players figure out how to prioritize their ongoing upgrades, the sooner they'll have more good ones and fewer bad ones. Of course, it depends on what the players want from a particular run Saros.

When you dive into one of the SarosMany biomes require players to quickly decide why they are there: do they want to complete and beat the biome? Want to collect lots of Lunecites and upgrade the Armor Matrix? Saros? Are they just on a survey, or are they returning for a specific cleaning? The good news is that my priority list, which I created after spending too much time in the game the past few days, is only slightly different for one type of run. Unless otherwise noted, consider my priority list universal for any run.

Saros Run update priority list

  • Quiet

  • Attribute Enhancers

  • Integrity and Health OR Lunecite upgrades

  • arms*

  • Artifacts

Yes, if your first step va Saros run is to max out your artifacts then I think you are dampening the potential of your run. Once I made this priority list, I found that each run was even better – probably even easier than the Carcosan upgrades in Saros. The reason this works is because it ensures that the protagonist Arjun has profits for the next run while improving the key components of the current run, both in almost equal measure.

Now it should be noted that Saros often forcing players to choose between two upgrades: two artifacts, two weapons, and so on. In that case, what's best for the run happens on a micro level, but this list of priorities is best applied overall. For example, while two artifacts are the last priority, be sure to pick one if it fits, no matter how early Saros cycle you are. But if it's a choice between your favorite artifact and Halcyon, always go for Halcyon.

1. Halcyon First, Always

While most permanent upgrades are unlocked with Lunecite, some of the best upgrades are locked behind Halcyon, however Halcyon has two limitations that players should be aware of. First, there are a limited number of Halcyons in most Saros biomes, and it's entirely possible to go through an entire run without seeing a Halcyon. Because of these two details, no matter how attractive the second option is, always choose Halcyon first to ensure your long-term growth stays on track.

2. Attribute Enhancers

Second to Halcyon is Attribute Enhancers, which should be chosen over anything but Halcyon. The rationale here is also quite simple. Yes, there are eventually unlocks so enemies just drop them, and there are plenty of ways to get them, but they're the equivalent of free upgrades. Players are limited to the number of artifacts they can carry, and of course they are limited to one Saros A main weapon and a power weapon, yet there is no limit to attribute upgrades. If it's not paired with Halycon, always go for Attribute Enhancers.

3. Healthmaxxing is the goal

Rahul Kohli was selected as SarosI believe that the main character so that his appearance is on par with the maximum health requirements of his game. But in all seriousness, Saros is a game where you don't want to get hit. However, if you're not perfect, you're going to get hit, so expanding the number of hits you can take, however small, goes a long way. As such, this one intertwines with other options in the game. If it's between two Attribute Enhancers, always go for Integrity and Health. If it's between health and anything lower on this list, always go for health. This will drastically change how long you can survive Saros.

If your goal in a run is to gain a lot of buffs and levels, prioritize the Drive & Lunecite buffs over healthmaxxing.

4. And then there are the weapons

Choosing a stronger weapon, if I had to guess, there are a lot Saros runs go wrong unknowingly. In a two-gun context, higher power isn't always the deciding factor. If anything, I'd say the progression of weapons throughout the game is one of its weakest points, as Smart Rifles and Eruptor Hand Cannons just don't beat it for me. But that's my recommendation: find out which weapons suit you best, stay in those categories, and simply power up between the two. Perks and weapon types should dictate which weapons you favor, not brute strength, unless* that brute strength is just a significant jump.

If there is a new weapon Saros is 10 points stronger, then of course do the swap and hold out hope for another weapon later. But being comfortable with your gun should be goal one, while anything above that should take priority over the gun.

5. Artifacts are the last priority

I know it might seem weird, but I don't care how good an artifact is: it's not more important than having a good weapon that you feel comfortable with, it's not more important than maxxing your health, it's not more important than free upgrades via attribute boosts, and it's not more important than Halcyon. Players should only take new artifacts when it's a choice between artifacts, when it's just an artifact, when it's a health artifact (above #3 priority weapons), and only in those situations. This may seem counter-intuitive since these are the most common upgrades, which also means they are the easiest to pick up on the fly.

More than that, though it expands as you play Sarosyou are limited by the number of artifacts you can carry. Picking up the wrong artifact can completely cancel a run, just as good artifact selection can help defeat a boss. Sarosso don't pick one to pick it up – if it doesn't match the game setup you've created so far, skip it and consider another one.

Have fun!

Saros is probably my favorite PS5 exclusive game to date, so while I've had fun figuring out this priority list (and hope it helps), you might not. Maybe you just want to rock each level; that's totally fine if you do. The most important priority of any video game is to have fun, because if it's not fun, why bother?
